Kenmore has some of the worst quality appliances, unless you got lucky. My wife and I spent over $8000 in appliances thinking: well this is Sears, they must stand behind the name", we were wrong! the microwave died 11 days after the 12 months warentee and the manager blamed us for not taking the extended warentee instead of acknowledging that this is unacceptable quality. We are really disappointed and would never buy Kenmore again.

I agree will everyone, never again will I buy a Kenmore product or step foot inside of Sears. We have had our washer "fixed" 7 times in the last year. The last tech that came out said, "It spins for me so what's your problem." Ten minutes after he left it didn't work. I could not recommend Kenmore to my worst enemy.

We bought a Kenmore Elite dishwasher, exactly four years ago. For the most part, it's a good product, quiet, efficient, etc. However, it has four plastic clips that hold the door springs on and in each of the ensuing four years, one of those clips has broken, which results in the door slamming to towards the floor. We're talking about a $1000 dishwasher, here, with plastic clips holding the door open. It's a poor design (my brother-in-law has had the exact same problem) that has since been upgraded because it was inherently faulty. However, Sears won't do the right thing and replace the faulty clip, they'll only charge you $16.95/part. That's $34, total, to replace an 8" nylon cord with two cheap plastic clips on each end. Or they'll charge you $60 for a service call to tell you what you already know and then charge you $34 for something that you can make with a paper clip. So, why buy from Sears, again? I can't think of any reason.

You guys are supposed to rate on the brand, not store. This is the last brand I will every buy in my life. I bought a Kenmore refrigerator and washer/dryer just under a year ago. I have started to have problems with it. On the side-by-side refrigerator, the freezer wouldn't defrost and made icicles form. The refrigerator didn't work at all because the wall that separates the freezer from the refrigerator was frozen with ice, therefore, no cold air from the freezer could cool the refrigerator. A technician told us to unload everything from the refrigerator/freezer and unplug the power. He said everything will melt. That was a HORRIBLE inconvenience for us. On the Oasis washer, it was just chaos. Just over a week ago, we started hearing beeping noises emmiting from the washer even when it was powered off. That beeping started getting more frequent so we had to unplug the power from the washer. Today, when we did laundry, IT WOULDN'T EVEN START! Whenever I pressed ANY button (other than power), it automatically went to the "Rinse, Drain, and Spin" cycle. But even after that, the Start button wouldn't work. The stop button suddenly became the alternate power button by having the power to turn off the washer. We prayed to God that it would work, and it finally did, with many, many attempts. We had to unplug the washer, wait about 15 minutes, replug it, and press start. The strange thing is, it constantly beeps during wash cycles. The Kenmore technician came over and said that he needed to replace the ENTIRE control board, and the central computer system. Isn't that pretty much the entire washer? On the Dryer, whenever I do Bedding/Bulky cycles, the dryer stops at 29 minutes and doesn't ever go down from then. I know that the technician said that the dryer has a "sensor" that can tell whether or not the clothes are dry or wet, and change the time. But staying on 29 minutes for... 50 minutes? I'm surprised the clothes aren't on fire by then. So, what I'm pretty much saying is, NEVER EVER BUY KENMORE! I'd buy a cheap brand instead, because it's probably, no wait... it IS more reliable than Kenmore. I know it says that it's America's #1 Selling brand, but that only because they spend more money on advertising their products than on research and finding ways to make their products better! Oh, I heard that Kenmore is a BETA version of Whirlpool and KitchenAid. I'm just frustrated as hell that I ever listened to those salespeople in the first place. What a waste of $3000.

bought a Kenmore AC 8000btu for my bedroom. rated very good on consumer reports for noise. It was so loud when the compressor kicked on we couldn't hear the tv. Never again! its going back today!

Horrible experience. I will never buy from Sears again. Our front-loading washer (over $700 when purchased) lasted LESS THAN 2 years before the computer board broke, which was not under warranty and cost about $350 installed. Terrible customer service experience with the service dept. also. Sears executive holdings dept. actually told me the washer was only intended to last 5 to 8 years. (They certainly don't tell you that up front!!) P.S. I'm only giving 1 star because the site won't let me give 0!

Dryer less than 2 years old, and have had technician out 3x to fix circuitry. Refrigerator less than 4 years old and the icemaker no longer works. I buy Kenmore because our family always bought Sears products. No more. Bad enough that we're all buying Japanese cars, now we are being forced to buy Korean and French appliances.

awful, both refigerator and oven breaks down quite often. Even the service technician said they built with discontinued and below standard parts. never buying from Sears again.
