03/11/2006 | I agree it is good to be with a friend who is independent. and that can be in many ways. being their own person and not depending on someone to entertain them or constantly having to reassure them. and then there is independent to take care of themselves and not coming for financial, help etc. that could really strain a friendship if they were too needy.

05/04/2003 | Independence is my most noticeable(personality) feature...and I love to find that in my friends. I can't stand people that are clingy or who want to be around you as much as humanly possible. It gets a little un-nerving to have them around all of the time. I like friends that have time for me, but also have their own lives to take care of.
