05/11/2008 | I think it's a give and take - I want my friends to be patient with me, but I also don't want them to be indifferent and not push me to do things differently if they feel they know a better way. I don't require too much patience from others anyway, so maybe that's why it's kind of hard to know just how to rate this one.

04/04/2003 | Patience and good manners are traits that are very much appreciated in a friend. I can't stand going to a restaurant with a friend who throws a fit (and I mean a huge fit) over not getting a refill on his drink literally less than a minute after he set the empty glass down! Or when they get all upset if the waitress says the food's coming out in about 30 minutes, and starts to complain to the point of demanding a free meal at 29 minutes (I'm serious, this has happened). I'm not saying that this should make or break a friendship, but it's extremely difficult to find someone's company to be pleasant when all they do is complain and can't wait for anything.

03/08/2003 | Yes indeed, I want a friend who is going to be patient with me, and I would expect myself to be patient with them. However, it is unrealistic to believe that all people are worthy of being patient with; some people need to be pushed in the right direction. So I would not neccessarily say that someone HAS to be patient in order to be a good friend.
