05/11/2008 | Always found someone who loves to give somewhat irresistable. . .but that's more for serious relationships than friends- friends can vary for me in terms of generosity- but in a real relationship I love to give, give, give and need the same in return. (CS plans to die penniless post-retirement and give it all to his runts unlike that bastard in "There Will Be Blood")

05/11/2008 | Another one of those give-and-takes. As long as the generosity flows both ways than there is no problem, but when one is selfless and the other is not; problems will most certainly arise.

07/21/2003 | It's definitely a good quality when a friend is capable of putting your own well-being ahead of their own (at appropriate times). More than just giving gifts, this means being generous with time during a friend's hour of need. True generosity doesn't come with strings attached, in which return favors are expected as the result of any act of giving. Truly generous people simply care about others and want the best for their friends.
