Talented, super strong and swift players, but their style can be a bit predictable sometimes.

11 lucky basterds who mostly win in an unfare way in the last 2 minutes. The word Schwalb isn't German for no reason!

A consistent team which always take advantage of their lucky days. In 2002 we were lucky on just opposing unimportant teams until the finals. Against all "real" teams in the last year we lost: Beyond Brazil they were defeated by the Netherlands, Argentina, France, Spain, England ... In the World Cup they could beat Saudi Arabia, Paraguay, USA, Korea ...

Germany with Ballack(CM), Kloese(F), and Kahn(GK) is a dream team! The team is ballanced in all position.

Love the country, but HATE their football. Boring, no guts or flair tactics.

I'm a big Brazil fan but I loved the way the Germans played in that final. They're great.

Germany is my pick to win the World Cup. They have a guy in Miroslav Klose that is explosive as seen in this tournament. Germany is obliterating most of it's opponents (i.e. 8 - 0, 4 - 0). Those goals will take them above the rest of the teams in the bracketed tournament.

So it looks like the old empire is crumbling, and losing some key players like Deisler and Heinrich won't help, but they still have a good team - Ballack will become one of the players of the tournament if Germany progress. The thing with Germany is that you can never write them off. Remember Lineker's immortal words "Football is a game where 22 men chase a ball around the pitch for 90 minutes, then the Germans win." Regardless, whatever happens, I'll still carry that warm glow from stuffing them 5-1 at Munich. Sorry Germany, I had to say it. ENGLAND!

I have seen the German teams of past World Cups just absolutely destroy there opponents. What I wouldn't give to see Germany v Brazil in a final.

the german team has its major crisis left behind and is going strong again with the popular headcoach rudi voeller. a team for at least the quarterfinals in next year´s world cup.
