Pretty cool airport. I love the slot machines near the gates so you can waste some time and money between flights! I spent a dollar and won $19. BTW, I usually have terrible luck!

This airport cannot handle the volume that they get each and every day. This airport is continually jammed back. Get there early because the lines can be ridiculous for bag check. This airport needs a serious expansion and to get there act together. When I was there last year my baggage claim was changes 3 times, and I don't know whose fault it was but it was disorganized! Great city- bad airport!

Nothing special, and if fact depressingly ugly, with limited services. Duty free shop may have the worst selection of any airport I've ever been in.

The people watching of departing travellers can be very entertaining if you learn to read body language.

I LOVE this airport ~ so much to do while you are waiting for your delayed flight!!!!  No-smoking policy, didn't agree with though.  Cab fare should only be $5.50 to the strip ~ don't pay anymore!! (Tip from cabbie in 2007).

McCarran is fine but nothing special. Be alert, however, and don't get trampled by the Blue hairs stampeding to the slot machines with their rolls of coins.

Unmistakably Las Vegas, you know you've arrived when you start hearing the bells and whistles and see slot machines right in the terminals and concourses. Very conveniantly located to the strip also.

Have NEVER gotten my luggage is under 45 minutes...

It works. It does nothing for the soul. But it works. Slot machines at the gates are a little odd at first. Something about this airport tells you that nothing savory will follow your landing - check good taste in the temporary storage locker. Something dead or decaying is in the airport air - to remind you it's Vegas. Don't stay long !

No matter how close you may be to the airport, or what kind of transportation you take to get to the airport, plan to add at least 1/2 an hour just to get IN to the airport. Traffic is unbelievable and moves at a snails pace. The airport just seems a bit too small and the roads too poorly laid out to handle the sheer masses of people it needs to. Allow for a lot of extra time.

The airport is generally clean and the staff friendly, but it is a VERY long walk from some of the gates to baggage. At least they do have a good number of moving sidewalks, but they need more. The slots are fun...
