Being "in transit" from Latin America is a nightmare! You have to exit one area (an international arrival area where you go through Customs & Immigration) and then go through Customs and SECURITY again to board an ongoing international flight.
It feels very very inefficient.
Plus, 8 out of 9 trips my "in transit" checked bag has been opened and the contents poorly repacked. The TSA people there are miserable, in my experience at least.

Not too bad bad of an airport,then again usually I am forced to connect in atlanta,so nothing could ever be that bad. I've had connections at this airport as short of 30 minutes,and made it in time,I would never try that at other larger airports.

I think that this is an efficient airport but that is as far as I will go.  It is nothing special, but doesn't bust your b*lls.

New section of it is great. Old section is outdated and bad. Must take shuttles to rental car locations.

I agree with kamiak on this one. ANYTHING named after Bush MUST be a tragic display.

VERY long walk between gates. New section is very nice - like a really nice mall. The old section? A bit stale smelling - old carpet. I try to avoid this airport.

Any airport named Bush can't be good. Plus it is too far walking between gates.

Very busy airport, but is convenient since has a lot of airlines. Driving to it reminds me of Disneyworld. You are on the property for a long time before you actually get to the terminal.
