I have landed here many times and always had a good experience. It is close to downtown and handy.

It is harder to get to DCA anymore.  The authorities are trying to drive away traffic to Dulles. Also you have to reamain seated for the last 30 minutes or so as you approach the airport.  It is easy to get in and out of the terminal however.

There's nothing really that great about this airport other than the direct acess to the Metro, but there also aren't any problems with it either.

Parking is awful, awful, awful. . .get there early. . .I mean EARLY. . .the cost per flight is usually higher, but you get one incredible benefit- the airport is on the METRO line. . .it is amazing to access a city like DC with the METRO and there is nothing like coming off a plane and jumping on the subway. . .but the place is cramped, crowded, and unpleasant. . .

They never should have changed the name from National Airport to Reagan National. Totally unnecessary. I only fly in and out of Dulles - a much better airport.

Fly into Dulles if at all possible. I had aweful service when I flew into Regan. The traffic is bad since it is in the heart of everything. My car has hit in the parking lot while I was on my trip. The cop did absolutely nothing to help.
