Jim Rohn has changed my life. I went to one of his seminars in 1979. That's where I first heard his philosophy on the "seasons of life". That day was the day I became a new man. I was in almost the same situation in life as Jim was in his story. I had no money, just started working in sales and had a baby girl. I think what I appreciate the most about Jim Rohn is his modest honesty. He's not arrogant, yet he's a multi-millionaire. He goes anywhere in the world to speak to people and inspire them. The investment you make to learn from Jim directly is quite modest, and frankly he gives a whole lot more than what you pay for. He's also very impressive in person. I had the privilege to meet with him in one conference more than a decade ago, and had a few business meetings together. He can listen like nobody else can. You'd think that such a busy person would have more stress and less patience, but he is exactly the opposite - an old school business person, takes the time, being fully engaged in any conversation, adjusting his words to fit the audience and almost never say the last word. I'm a true fan.

I have read this book three times since I bought it. I started over because I didn't want to lose out on the opportunity on mastering personal growth. This book has began to change my life, and the life of my brother who also bought a copy. So if it is change you want, but you are not sure where to start. I say start here!

This book is very concise. When I first received it in the mail, I was amazed at how small it was. There aren't many pages, but then again, there isn't much fluff. The book is jammed-pack with inspiration quotes and advice for living life. The author is one of the leading experts on self-help. This is the guy that Tony Robbins got most of his material from! The chapters are split into 5 sections: * Attitude * Philosophy * Activity * Results * Lifestyle Some of my favorite quotes: "A few small disciplines practiced every day = formula for success." (p. 37) "Change comes from two sources: Inspiration and desperation." (p. 12) "Both the poor and the wealthy have the same 24 hours of opportunity." (p. 47) "Repetition is the mother of skill." (p. 62) There are many others throughout the book and those are just a few of the gems. This will probably be one of the last motivational books that you'll ever need!
