Find Your Courage: 12 Acts for Becoming Fearless at Work and in Life (Margie Warrell) 5

I enjoy reading self-help books and read a lot of them. Yes, they say the same things again and again but repetition helps fix these concepts in my mind. Find Your Courage is an excellent book of its kind. I love Ms. Warrell's writing style and she's packed a lot of content into this book. Recommended!

I read alot of self-help books. A LOT. Many have inspired me - few have inspired to actually DO something to BE better.

Margie Warrell's book should be on EVERYONE'S bookshelf. "Find Your Courage" eliminates ALL of the reason's people use to keep them from living powerful, inspired, meaningful lives in every moment.

Written in Margie's no-nonsense Aussie-style, you will finally take responsibility for the situations in your life and know that you are equipped with everything you need to bust out, breakthrough and become the leader and creator of your own life. Whether your a CEO or a kindergarten teacher, a single parent or soccer dad, this book gets you off your a** once and for all. You will (as Margie says), Think Bigger, Live Bolder!

Having read my share of self help books -- as both business writer and eager consumer -- I'm seldom surprised by something new. But with "Find Your Courage," Aussie author Margie Warrell truly does offer a fresh take on moving beyond your limitations and going after the life you want. In addition to being very readable, well-organized and inspiring, Warrell's book (unlike so many in this genre) is also very practical -- drawing on her work as an executive coach and corporate speaker and offering thought-provoking exercises to make your dreams reality. Her twelve daily acts of courage, which build from taking responsibility and challenging your stories (my personal favorite!) to the courage to let go and be a leader are as applicable to a fulfilling personal life as to professional success, making this book useful to anyone looking to "live more boldly," as Warrell puts it. This is a book I'll come back to again and again and strongly recommend it.

I found Find Your Courage! to be not only inspiring but just really practical and realistic. Warrell is a very 'real' writer and her book is a handbook for dealing with 'real' everyday problems - from relationship strife to problems at work - more courageously. Apart from a few I skipped over, her exercises were generally really worthwhile and did help me see things from a new angle and open up some new choices for me.
I can honestly say that I think this book is one that everyone would benefit from reading and having on their shelf to refer back to as new challenges arise.
I've read numerous 'self help' books over the years but i have to say that Find Your Courage leaves the others for dead in real life practical content, engaging writing style and sheer helpfulness. Well worth your dollars and your time reading.
