10/22/2007 | Absolutely the best International Airport I have frequented...and there have been a bunch of them. This facility has great shopping, restaurants, fast food (McD & Burger King for the kids). Best of all, the train station is one escalator down from the main terminal with connections all over Europe via Amsterdam Central. Also, lots of reasonable hotels near the Airport with hotel shuttles directly from the main terminal.

Western World. Too bad KLM has gone
down the hill, but the airport makes
up for that disapointment.
Almost a joy to use. Gets better everytime.

04/06/2004 | I love it. Signs are everywhere, there are a lot of shops and other features (even has a museum) and after they had their new baggagesystem up and running, suitcases don't get lost all the time!
The distances are a problem indeed. The most outer gates are 30 minutes apart!

01/11/2003 | Amsterdam has established a great repuation but in my opinion it is not that good. It's okay but sprawling, spread out, you can walk for ages between piers and gates. If you arrive at one pier and your connecting leaves from the furtherst, you can't even check in till you get to the right pier! The shops are scattered all over, there is no real centre or shopping area. Having said that, I like the massage stand, and prices are okay. In the end it is okay but be prepared to walk!
