The best crossword book that I found anywhere. I used it so much I had to order another one.

I purchased this as a gift for a friend who loves crosswords. I have an older edition that I've worn ragged and decided to buy a new one for myself as well to replace the old one.

This is my second dictionary and I love it. It's really big, which is the only drawback. It is extremely comprehensive - has all kinds of the funky words and clues. They also have lots of info. on countries, states, cities. I find that there are rarely times I can't find an answer. The only time I struggle is when you are given the last name of someone famous - I can't just look up their last name often.
Great book for the money! Now.... if only they could make it in a travel size!

Still the best of all of the crossword puzzle dictionaries I have used, along with Newman and Stark's The Million Word Crossword Dictionary. Please, please, however update the old orange Swanfeldt. We have gone through three or four copies, using them until they are battered and falling apart.

I have used this Crossword Puzzle Dictionary for many years. My orginal one literaly wore out so naturally I wanted a new version. I have several crossword dictionaries but I always go back to this for my best answers.
