This book is filled with errors in spelling, grammer and puncuation. The story is interesting, but the errors are distracting.

This is my most favorite DS novel of all time. In fact, my copy of this book has been read and reread so much that the back cover fell off. During some of the most difficult moments of my own life, I've always had this book with me. Daphne Fields is a young widow, raising her young son, a woman truly alone in the world. This is a story about love and loss and heartbreak, and finding the strength to go on living. I also highly recommend the TV-movie (available on DVD) with Lindsay Wagner, and the actor who plays Justin Wakefield looks and acts exactly like you'd imagined him when reading the book.

Danielle Steel is indeed a GENIUS! Once in a Lifetime is a well-crafted and brilliantly written novel! I was in tears by the end of chapter 3, and cried throughout the entirety of the novel. The novel became slow moving towards the last few chapters, but D.Steel picked up speed again and closed the novel perfectly. This novel is a must read!
