No one never give me flowers, so I don't know if it would be a good present or not, but I think it would be so nice and I really would appreciate it.

Gotta say lads, I wouldn't thank you for a bunch of flowers, I would much rather a crate of beer, but that's being Irish for ya (dublin born n bred). I mean why would I want things sitting in a vase that will only die on me anyway, and then cos I will have forgotten all about them I will have to clean the vase of rotten green stuff. No please, gimme something I can enjoy, and beer is on the top of my list!!!

I've yet to meet a woman who doesn't love flowers. I wouldn't make it the only gift at Christmas, but it will certainly be welcome.

I'm one of those oddball women who doesn't want flowers (yeah, I know, I'm putting wayyy too much thought into this, but you're basically cutting off a plant's genitalia and handing it to someone, only to have it wilt and die a few days later. Yeah, I know, aren't I the romantic one?). Yeah, they're pretty and all, and the gesture is appreciated, but I'd rather have it still be alive; I'll take a live plant any day. The reason I give this a "3" instead of a "1" is because most women I know love getting flowers, so there's a good chance that you'll score huge points by getting your woman flowers. Kairho's suggestion of having it accompanied by something that lasts, though, is a great suggestion.

Great ... when accompanied by something more permanent.

I love receiving flowers because they're something of natural beauty. They hold a special significance that most things just don't have. Flowers can be enjoyed while they're lively and then thrown out or dried. You really don't have to worry about losing them or having to return them.

For most women, flowers are a welcome gift any time of the year. I think fresh flowers are definitely a better choice than a live plant because you can simply enjoy them without any hassle or commitment. The reason my rating is only three stars is because I have cats, and they destroy fresh flowers. As a result, I can't have fresh flowers anywhere in my house. Whenever I receive a bouquet, I have to lock it in my laundry room or give it to the neighbors, which is a shame. If you buy flowers for a woman, be sure she doesn't have any cats!
