A couple's spa certificate would be just fine.

I'd say my wife would probably rather have this than electronics. She was almost overcome with joy when I got her a day at the spa (the day before our wedding). Although, I don't think many of the gifts on here compare to how much she likes it when I make her a special dinner.

A wonderful gift because spa treatments can be so expensive

No better gift! Like Shroomwoman said, most women would never spend the money on themselves for pampering. It's always important to get your woman something that they wouldn't normally get for themselves.

Guys, if you want to make your woman very, very happy, get her an appointment for a spa treatment!!!

I’ve never gotten this as a gift, but I think it would be great! A day of pampering, relaxing and ridding your mind of stress. What could be better?

Oh yeah, I don't know a woman who wouldn't appreciate and enjoy a day at the spa. A day of pampering is a sure hit for any woman, I think. No matter your personality, everyone can use some catering to and self indulgence. A spa treatment is relaxing and rejuvinating.

In general, giving spa treatments to a woman is a pretty safe bet. Most women love to get massages, yet they don't usually feel comfortable spending the money on themselves for such an "indulgence." I think it is better to allow the woman to choose the treatments, however. I hate having manicures, for example, and I'd never get into a mud bath or have myself rubbed down with sea salts. Overall, I think spa treatments are a good holiday gift, but be sure to allow for personal preference.
