Make sure you do your homework if you do this.

So long as it's something that you can use and is functional for the person who the gift is for. For instance- I recently got a new cell phone and probably will never figure out 90% of the things it does. I use it to call people and receive calls. The same thing goes for electronics equipment- if it does too much it becomes impossible to work or tedious and virtually useless, like say a home theatre- we still can't figure out how to get it to work though it was an awesome gift it has been basically useless.

I believe gifts should be surprises and not expected. But that runs the risk of getting something that isn't quite right for the typically picky man. And if one gets what has been requested, it's not a surprise anymore.

All men (including myself) love electronic gadgets so this is a rather safe and appreciated gift; however, there are two related pitfalls to avoid. First, men typically would rather have something nicer (which means more expensive) or nothing at all. (This applies to all gifts for men.) Therefore women would be better served getting one nice gift over several cheaper gifts. Second, men typically know exactly which features they want in a gadget. If one doesn't give a gadget as nice or with the features desired, most likely it will be shortly replaced resulting in a waste of money. The bottom line is that when looking at a electronics for men, it is a good policy to let him pick out what he wants even if it spoils the surprise.

Electronics make great gifts not only for men but for the family as well. The men in my family are fascinated with them and although they don't want the most or the biggest, they want top of the line quality in tv's, steroes, DVD players etc. There is so much new and innovative stuff out there in electronics that one is sure to make their man happy.

Most definitely!! A CD player, a DVD player, stereo, home theater system woul always be appreciative for any male. I wouldn't ever see a guy turn down any gift that was bought at Circuit City or Best Buy.

Electronics are always a good gift choice for a man. Guys like toys, especially electronic toys. I know I like computers, radios, video games and DVD's as much as the next man.

What do males love more than electronic appliances? Everything from stereos, to DVDs, to TVs, it's a great choice.

I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that the majority of men are into electronics of some kind. For instance, if I ever want(ed) to know anything about the newest and best stereo equipment I could (and can) always get that information from guys in the age group of say 18 to 30. While I like playing around with electronic “toys” on a certain level some guys eat, live and breath every detail about them. So, I would be willing to bet this will always be a good choice in one form of another for most men.
