If tickets to an event that I enjoy show up, I am forever grateful to whoever I get them from.

Im always big on giving tickets to sporting events to my brother. This Christmas I bought him the holiday package for the Nets games. Last year I bought him (and myself) tickets to the Jets season finale in St Louis, with airfare and hotel included. Unfortunately the Jets lost but that's another story. Sports Events are great because in general the person will always remember the game and the time they spent with you.

Depending on what type of sport the men in your life likes, this would make a great gift and a lasting memory

I remember my dad finally impressing my mom for her birthday by giving her tickets to the ice capades. She found this much more special than the mop-and-floorwax type gifts for which he'd been notorious. The same math applies for men's gifts. If there is a sport he particularly enjoys, why not treat him on a very special occasion? It beats socks and underwear.

I'd rather have something I could enjoy permanently if I would get a Christmas gift.

With all the rabid, face and body painting sports-a-holics around and the most of them being male I would see this as a safe bet. Especially if he's from the U.S.

I honestly love nothing more than the excitement of going to a live sporting event and am thrilled when I receive such a gift.
