This definately beats spending $15 on an over-marketed, over-rated, over-priced CD at the store.

I'm constantly burning songs onto new CD's. What's the point in paying 16 bucks for a CD that only has one good song on it?! For those of you who have not yet discovered it, Kazaa.com is a great music site.

Definatley one of the top resons..... I love making my own cd's and being an mp3 pirate. I love the fact that you can basically have whatever cd you want!!!! and I borrow my friends cd's then copy them and have my own copys without having to buy them myself.... I do wish that labels werent so dangerous to put on a cd I played one with a label and it di not rotate right and it messed up the playback..oh well.. I also burn data cd's so I can save space and make mp3 cd'd for mp3 cd players such as the aiwa cdc-mp3 and xp-mp3 that way you'll have like 20 cd's worth of music on just one cd! that's inredible and I think it will go manistream and all players will have that soon. I think burning cd's are one of the best things to happen to audio and computers!!!!

Being able to transfer MP3 to CD's or duplicating a CD is incredible. Unfortunantly I find myself never wanting to listen to the music if I'm not working on the computer...

What an amazing feature. Here is what I do: I go to Amazon.com and type in the names of bands that I like. Then I check Amazon's list of "Other people who bought this also bought..." and look for bands that I haven't heard of. Then I listen to a couple of samples on Amazon. If I like the sound, I go to Limewire and download entire tracks. Then I burn a CD of the tracks I like. Amazing. I think my friends and family might be sick of getting homemade CDs for birthdays / xmas...but that's life. For the bands I really like, I buy the CDs, go to the concerts, etc...In my opinion, while the Internet is eating into the profits of bands / record labels, it is also increasing the size of the pie by exposing people like me to music that we would not otherwise hear.
