Isn't everyone over this band yet?

welll i used to absolutely looove these guys but now that i have gotten older and go to gigs i am kinda getting over it but i still like them but this album was the best one they ever made.If it wasn't for them i wouldn't be where i am today believe me.

Good Charlotte, Green Day, Simple plan and all that emo shit is garbage. Iron Maiden and Metallica Rule. Up The Irons!

Good Charlotte rocks. i like green day better, but they are definatly on my top five list! Anyone who thinks that they suck, sucks!

Their CD was great with many hit songs on it. The best yet. Greenday is more my style. Good Charlotte rocks!

This is a great album with a different variety of music. Hold On is a slow punk song - great, whereas The Anthem is the typical punk song. These guys are not posers and have obviously worked hard for what they have.

Good Charlotte is ok. All their songs sound pretty much the same, but at least its a good repeating song.

What other people have said is crap. They make their songs have meaning and show that people can change their lives for the better. They give hope to kids and have great lyrics. It's better that you can understand and interpret the lyrics for yourself. Most punk songs don't give you that it's just meaningless sh** that someone writes when their high or pay someone to write it for them. Their actualy changed their lives and are teaching kids to do the same, i mean your a bi**h if you think there posers when their trying to help kids, i mean are u completely heartless.

Being from maryland and seeing these guy's i am able to give this type of opinion which is mine to give, these guy's along with bands like blink 182 and green day need to be banned from existance and although they have a lot of people who listen to them i dought that they follow music enough to see that they are just posers!

Hold On is good. Much of it is just trying too hard to be cool.

I LOVE this band, Good Charlotte is the coolest band in the world!! and I have a major crush on Billy, Benji, Joel!! Yet another pop/punk hybrid. Some of the songs are decent I guess. But mainly they just annoy me... I'd rather listen to real punk (what I consider real punk is because of the music not because of what punk means) such as Sex Pistols... if I am going to listen to this hybrid music, then I'm gonna go to Blink who can at least do it well.

good charlotte is the shiznit! They're the best and if you guys don't like it, well fine. you don't have their desire taste. I like their videos. They are very funny and I never get tired of them at all! lol.

Lets face it good charlotte is another wannabe punk band created by evil corporate idiots who care less about music and only care about making money. The whole punk image thing is only a facade and a fake because they sing pop songs. The album itself shows really no depth whatsoever and is very shallow,childish and predictable and is nowhere near actual punk music.But on the lighter note if you enjoy pop music with catchy beats or clean radio ready so called punk-pop than Good Charlotte is a perfect choice for you. I just wish GC would stop pretending and admit they are nothing but a mainstream boy band that sing pop music.

Let's get one thing out of the way... Good Charlotte is not punk. They are power pop. That being said, I will now rate this album. I bought this album at the record store last year because my friends at school really seemed to like them. I listened to this CD a few times before I realized that it wasn't as good as everyone said it was. I'm not one of those hardcore assholes who hates everything, but this CD really gets on my nerves. The GC guys aren't bad lyricists, but they can't right music. All of the songs on this CD sound repetitive and the singer's voice is possibly the most obnoxious thing on this planet. The best song on this album is the opening song because it didn't have him singing. I kept this CD in my case for awhile before I gave it to the girl that sits beside me in science class as an X-Mas present. I'm sure she liked it better than I did.

They're very good. The Young and the Hopeless is a great CD. I do agree with some people, that they're not the best band out there, and they're not so much punk as Ramones. But that's ok because they are still really good.

I love this type of music, Cuz when i put on this music I just forget about everything, all my worries, all my problems, gone! just like that! and I'm just enjoying the great music. And that's what's most important, feeling good about yourself. If not now when? Life is great!

Very catchy songs, I don't like this album a lot, but it has its moments.

People should just be able to do what they want. Who cares if they're punk or not. They're more successful then any of us will probably ever be so, i have a feeling they dont care what we think.

Good Charlotte are one of many punk-inspired boy bands that are great for entertainment. In an age where the pop boy band is on its way out this is the new wave. Joining the likes of Sum41, Simple Plan, MXPX, Ataris, New Found Glory, etc the music is fun. Some of the bands consider themselves to be punk, others do not. Truth is that punk is an attitude any way and you'd have to get to know them personally to figure out if they are or are not. Even the music is closer to what punk used to be than a lot of the bands that are widely accepted as punk today. GC rocks! Deal with it.

THEY ROCK!! The Young and the Hopeless is awesome, but their first CD is better, in my opinion. I love them all, and unlike a lot of 13-14 year old girls, it's not just beacuse they're all hot. I can really relate to their music, and they kick ass over all (especially live). Keep rockin, GC.

They are posers with no talent. Their lyrics are really, really stupid, and their melodies sound like they came from Barney.

they are horrible ,more or less a boy band dressed up like punk rockers(although they are just pop rock).

Im giving them 2 cos their first song was ok and the lead singer is good looking but really í spect there as bad as avril lavigne i spect they make fun of her to stop ppl from realising they are just as bad!

I luv this cd, I think that Benji and Joel r brave for writing about their past the way that the hav. This cd is AWESOME!!!!! I luv how they hav not only hard punk songs on it, but they hav somethin for everyone. Whether u like punk or not. It's hard not to find a song u don't like on the young and the hopeless.

When good charlotte 1st realied their 2nd cd the popular people @ my skool seceided that is was kool but since i don't follow trends i wasn't into them... but then i started hearin them more and more and deiceided that they were really kool. but like a month later every1 was sayin that they were old and started dissin them. Ughh. Good Charlotte. Horrible, obnoxious, derivative crap that is specialized by pretty much every god damn modern band that heralds themselves as "punk". Th songwriting, vocals, and musicianship are all abysmal. Don't buy unless you're a ghetto defect (who isn't in this era?") that enjoys listening to run-of-the-mill, poser punk (i.e. Sum 41, Avril Lavige, Simple Plan, et cetera) or willingly submit to conformity.

I Feel That Good Charlotte Writes Their Own Kind of Music,Not necessarily punk,or pop. In my opinion any band who writes from their heart or from experiences deserves to have a chance. I just Bought the Cd and i think that its Really AWESOME, I will always support GC and their music!

This album is amazing. It has a song that almost everyone can relate to, from the more sombre "bloody valentine" to the more catchy tune of "girls and boys" its a easy listening CD that is perfect for every occasion. I have no idea whether Good Charlotte should be classed as punk, pop, rock all that matters is that they write they're own music fuelled with their actual emotions based on situations they have encountered in life, and I'm sure that alot of people who listen to the CD will find comfort in the fact that even though they feel it, they certainly are not alone. The group writes for its fans, and for itself. It doesnt write to sell records. All in all i would recommend this album to anyone (and i have been doing) who wanted a good CD that you can listen to in any mood.

okay,i am a HUGE GC fan,and i am very happy about this cd of theirs!all of their songs are very good,and you can tell they put a lot of effort into it.it really helps me when i listen to it,because it reminds me that i am not the only kid out here that's different.the young and the hopeless pretty much is a punk/rock/pop cd,and has a little something for everyone!!

This band is great Good Charlotte is wonderful though some people don't classify them as punk but what else can u call it? sure some think it is pop punk but it is so hard to tell with all the music blending together... I have a strong feel for music I am a DJ in down town Denver colo at this club i do a lot there and a bunch of people tell me GC isn't a real punk band but they are. no matter what u say! see most people think they r too soft to be punk but those people r confortable with hard rock punk the underground grung stuff and thats cool just don't dis my Good Charlotte! Atleast not until u have seen them in concert -K- peace God Bless
