Hi all, I wanted to drop in and let you know that I have been using Nioxin System 2 cleanser for about two months. That is the only Nioxin product that I use, the system 2 cleanser only. I also use Rogaine foam, for two months, twice a day as directed. It has only been two months but I must say that I have some fine, thin hairs growing where my bald spot was before. My hair stylist is amazed. One reviewer stated that a little goes a long way, she is correct. When I first started using Nioxin and Rogaine I did notice an increase in the shedding of my hair, probably within the first two weeks, since that time my hair has thickened, feels cleaner, and is starting to grow back. I will give another update to you in two more months. Good luck and stick with your regimen what ever it is. Being persistent pays off.

All I can tell you is my dad, and my younger brother have experienced hair loss, I seem to have gotten away with it, I have been using nioxin for a decade. For those of you that initially experience increased hair loss, this is beacause the shampoo dissolves pore clogging sebum - many times it is only this pore clogging sebum that is holding in what is essentially a dead hair. One the pore is clear new hair may grow through. I notice when using the scalp therapy that i have more new hair bristles coming through my scalp. Using it for a short time, even less than 6 months, wont do much for you.

I used Nioxin cleanser and scalp treatment 3 for about three months. I stopped using it because my hair was thinner than ever. I also don't like the quats in it and I absolutely hated the finishing rinses (I tried 2 different kinds, #3 and #6). It's also way overpriced.

I again was skeptical about this product, but to my amazement my hair and scalp feel soooo much better and it feels really clean, i have not felt it like this for years. My hair appears to feel heavier and actually has a shine and thats only after one use, i applied the gel before drying and that works great aswel. For once in my life i have not wasted my money on another scam, i have suffered for 20years with thinning hair but i can honestly say it makes a real difference to how your hair feels. I am a 40yr old female so i want to make it clear that its great for our hair too. I have not used the scalp theray yet but am going to order some today and fingers crossed get even better results. the product has no harmful products so what have you got to lose as i do not think it is really that expensive in comparison to others. I am one happy customer and am willing to publically say this product is great! go for it!

I'm a brand new user of Nioxin and purchased System 1. I used it for the first time last night and wanted to say that my scalp has NEVER felt so clean and refreshed! I love the mentholated scent and the shampoo lathers beautifully. A little goes a long way and I have waist-length hair. Didn't experience any redness or irritation as some have commented. The leave-in scalp treatment is formulated as a clear liquid and leaves no residue behind. Hopefully, after continued use, I'll enjoy the restoration or appearance of new growth!

I am a 39 year old male and used Nioxin cleanser 1,scalp therapy 1, my hair was thinning on top and I wanted to preserve it before it got worse. After 4 weeks I was get my hair cut and mentioned to my stylist that I had been using Nioxin. She said "I am glad you told me that because I noticed you are re-growing hair" she combed back my hair near the edge of my scalp and I could see all the tiny hairs spouting! Now Nioxin does not even claim to re-grow hair. It just states things like 9 out of 10 PERCEIVE a thickening effect and even has a disclaimer. I was very skeptical and was really only tried it because while at a local mall I saw a Beauty Shop/Salon that offers high end hair care products. Even though the two items were $40.00 I thought what the heck and bought them. The second time I went back to my hair stylist she showed me the "new growth" again and it was twice as long but still shorter than my original hair. I went back to the local mall and they had a half off sale so I bought two bottles of Nioxin cleanser ,scalp therapy. I am going to try the Follicle booster next for more thickness. I do notice a huge difference and my hair is fuller on top. I always used head and shoulders dry scalp (winter) and panteen prov prior to my Nioxin discovery.

I'm a cosmetologist and sell nioxin, it isn't really made to re-grow hair, only to stop hair loss. I do use the recharging complex (vitamins) and they do help my hair feel healthy and grow a little faster. And a lot of clients notice a difference but it takes about 6 months for to start working but you have to use the whole system; shampoo, conditioner, and scalp treatment.

Update after 7 months of using Nioxin: It works. My hair looks thicker and my balding spot is a bit fuller. It is not 'majic' and the results are not dramatic but there is some new hair. Wish I had started using it 10 years ago.

Their products are a bit expensive, but worth it. I have been using Nioxin on and off for several years, due to the fluxuation in my personal finances. Right now I am using both the cleanser, scalp therapy, and the folical booster. I have been ON the products for about two and a half months now and I am seeing very little hair in the tub and on my comb. Here is a tip. Nioxin use to encourage you to massage the scalp when using the scalp therapy. It does not say to do that now. But I still do. I also massage my scalp when using the folical booster, every day. This encourages the blood to flow. I also take a good multi vitamen that has 2000 mcg's of biotin and 400 mcg's of folic acid. I exercise daily and get a lot of sleep, and I try to eat well. I think that the key to keeping your hair and scalp healthy is in how well you treat the problem over all. My attitude is that I want to keep what hair I have left for as long as I can. Also, sleeping with a satin pillow case helps too. It prevents your hair from breaking off while you toss and turn at night--if this too is a problem for you. My nine year old told my the other day that she thought that my hair was getting longer. I noticed it too, and I can tell that it is ticker. The only downside is that you can not buy the products through the NIOXIN website. And it always is under some kind of construction. The products are expensive, and I would expect the company to stay on top of this.

Thymuskin is a natural, safe and effetive hair growth product.

I will start off by saying that I know of 2 products that are able to regrow hair: One's a German made product and the other is a Chinese one. Fabao 101 Series, created by Dr Zhangguang, and the other is Thymuskin. They are both excellent products and you will never need to apply them forever to maintain your hair. I noticed that I was getting better (faster?) results when I stacked the two products together. However, they don't fully work against hair loss induced by Minoxidil. 11 years ago at the age of 17 I began to lose my hair but stopped it with Nioxin. I gradually started growing my hair back with the discovery of the 2 products I mention earlier up until a year and a half ago. Which is when I made one of the biggest mistakes of my life; I tried using a product called Scalpmed which contains 5% Minoxidil. I decided not to use it after a month and about a month and a half later my hair, all over my scalp except the back and sides, started falling out. It started falling out so fast, I didn't know what to do. I didn't know what was happening...actually, you can read the full story at this link http://www.tcmhospital.com/products/hairregrowth/testimony.html I wrote an email explaining my situation asking for advice and they posted it on their testimony page. So, I now realize minoxidil causes hair loss, but what kind? And it's not ordinary hair loss either. At the rate my hair began to fall out I would have been completely bald 6 months after I discontinued using it but have only been able to reduce the shedding with those formulas. I am now beginning to feel I am only prolonging the inevitable. I just started using Nioxin and it seems to be slowing it down even more. In time I will know. So, If you have used Minoxidil, I don't know if these products will work. Well, here is where you can get them. http://www.tcmhospital.com/products/hairregrowth/select101.html http://www.thymusking.com/ For the Chinese product, 101 Follicle-nourishing tonic is the strongest, 101G & 101 Original are great too. For Thymuskin, the Hair Gel is the strongest but works best with the shampoo A common mistake people make is not using enough and not applying it right. Treat it as if you are rubbing bengay into your sore muscles. It needs to penetrate the skin for it to work. Does anyone now if I were to use Topical Flutamide, will I lose any hair if I stopped using it? How about Spiro?

I straighten my hair everyday and am always changing my hair colour, for at one point because of all the colouring over colour, my hair began to get very damaged and i started to loss hair loads of hair while taking a shower. So i talked to my hair dresser and she recommended a Nioxin Shampoo and Revitalizer (conditioner), it was quite a bit more expensive then the Matrix Biolage stuff i was usually, but I thought i would give it a try, the first time i used it i was amazed at how soft my hair had become it even straighteneed out the little frizzy tips of my hair, but i was still loosing hair. After about a month I stilled didnt notice much of a difference other than my looked and felt more healthy, but in the next month or so, I couldnt believe the difference it made, my hair was not only soft and healthy, but I was hardly loosing any hair at all, my hair dresser was even impressed, my hair did not break anymore. Also I get the tips of my hair cut off about every 4 - 6 weeks, just to keep my hair healthy, so you might want to ook into doing that while using the shampoo. The only downfall I found about the shampoo was that once you stop using you hair becomes brittle and very unhealthy looking and feeling, so lets just hope they dont go out of business. But I mean come on the actresses and actors use it on their hair and they colour, perm, or chemically straighten their hair every single day pretty much, so if it's good enough for them then it should be good enough for us. Anyways I think that NIOXIN may be the best thing for hair ever put on this planet.

I've noticed considerable thinning in my hair due to a certain medication. So far, I can't say the smell of Nioxin is very appealing. My hair feels really dry after putting on that foaming stuff at the end. I'm wondering if you all let your hair air dry? Can you use any other styling products? I don't know if I'm going to be able to stand using this for a month or more! I haven't felt any tingling of the scalp either like others say they experience.

i've been using nioxin for almost 2 yr. like others said, the product (cleanser & therapy) doesn't seem to grow hair, but rather prevent hair loss by strengthening hair roots or something (you can tell why i can't sell this product!). i've recommended to a colleague and he felt the difference within only 2 wks. the only drawback is it can get cold in the shower because of substance nioxin uses (kinda menthol).

I have noticed a great difference while using minoxidil along with Nioxin. Thicker hair and more hair. I have the same hair I did in high school. I started as soon as I noticed thinning. The sooner the better. I am a 27 year old male.

I am a female and currently using Minoxidil 5% (for men). Would anybody know if I combine the two (minoxidil and nioxin) would speed up the reaction or will have any negative effects?

I tried Nioxin today for the first time. I have very thin hair and have experienced excessive hair loss for the past few month due to stress. I bought Nioxin 1 (I should have bought either 2 or 3) and when I tried the product, I lost about 40 hairs while combing my hair, which is abnormal to me. I am very concerned that it will make my hair loss worse if I continue.
Any advice?

Thanks,
J

Nioxin is an awful product use the generic brand of "propecia" called "proscar". Originally used as a prostate drug some patients started regrowing hair on "THE TOP" of their head. I stopped using Nioxin because my hair has never fallen out faster than when I used it.

I have been using Nioxin products (Cleanser, Conditioner, Hair Spray, and the multi-vitamin: the recharging complex)for almost a year now. I think Nioxin has somewhat slowed the thinning process of my hair but I have not seen any "miracle growth" yet. I spend a lot of money on these products (they are not cheap!) and I just wonder sometimes whether it would have been cheaper to just let it go (meaning not to use any of this Nioxin stuff) and then simply have a hair transplant when I go totally bold. If you think about it, in the event keep buying these products for a little over than 10 years, I might end up spending more money that the cost of a transplant!

What do you think? Any comments?

Ray-

I agree with Claymaker, most of these " reviews " are just too good to be true. Nioxin could be a good product but the " reviews " do thier own product a disservice. By reading these reviews, they would have you belive that Nioxin is the " Holy Grail " of hair products which is a claim that the most nieve or gullible consumer would most likley reject as the truth.

Nioxin makes good products, however, it is no magic bullet. Nioxin should augment a good hairloss prevention program that consists of Propecia and Rogaine. Nioxin products also contain ingredients that are strongly suspected to prevent, or, at least slow down hairloss, such as superoxide dismutase. If you don't mind the rather high price then I would say that it's worth it. Personally, I do like and use Nioxin products. My program consists of: Avodart, Rogaine and Nioxin. All of these products have been of great help.

I wish I would have started using it earlier because I have no doubt in my mind that I would even have more how now than I do. -I love this product-
Its a super high quality shampoo, therapy and conditioner. It prevents hair from falling out. That coupled with even modest hair growth = more hair. I used to use regular shampoo like "Pert" or "Clairol" or whatever. Then wonder why may hair looked like crap.
I color my hair too. Have for years. After using Nioxin my hair is as lusterous and thick as it was in high school. This is amazing stuff really. I windsurf lots too. I use #8 and it protects my color and reduces fading from salt water and sunlight. It makes your hair managable and healthy even if you dye it and swim alot. It makes sense, taking care of your hair is like taking care of your body right?
If you buy Nioxin and think its going to grow hair on bald scalp save your dough. Its for folks that have "noticably thinning hair".

I really like Nioxin. My hair is much healthier now since I've started using Nioxin. I used #2, when I should've used #3 and it still seemed to help. My hair hasn't magically completely stopped falling out but it has helped for the most part.

For me Nioxin is a miracle, I will not use anything else. I started using Nioxin about 4 monthes ago, and it is amazing.

I am a 24 year old female, who has always had fine hair, but its extra heartbreaking to see it clog my shower drain every morning for years and years, big clumps were lost every morning, along with hair loss styling my hair before work and throughout the day. My hair was getting thinner and thinner, and I was very afraid I was close to experiencing balding, it was always on my mind all day and I was constantly upset and sad about it, it really affected me badly.

Its 4 monthes later with using Nioxin and I do not experience any hairloss while taking showers, and I marvel every day at the drain staying perfectly clear, its AMAZING. I have minimal hairloss throughout my day unlike before as well. New hair has been growing more than ever, as my scalp is much much more healthy.

During the first 2 weeks of using Nioxin the shampoo and conditioner was very tingly and cold feeling in the shower, as was the scalp treatment spray for aftershower. Also my hairloss increased a bit more in the first two weeks as well, from the shock of switching to a new shampoo...this faded away almost immediately a little after two weeks and I have thought of Nioxin as my own personal miracle ever since... I've recommended it to all my friends experiencing the same problems and heartache I've had for years.

Bottom line: I love love love this product line. I wish for it to work as well for you as it does for me, goodluck

Sincerely,
Jessica from Maine

I've had somehair loss due to having 3 surgeries over the past year. I am not medically sick, the surgery was all elective, however, it seems to have taken it's toll on my hair. My hairdresser recommended the Nioxin line. I am wondering however, if, once you start using Nioxin, will there be detrimental effects if I stop once all of the anesthsia and pain meds are out of my body and I return to normal life? My hair has always been fine, it's just the shock of the surgeries that has taken it's toll. I am going to have a detox done to get all the medicines and anesthsia out of my body. I'm just wondering, should I let it be and let nature take it's course, or should I use this Nioxin for a short while and once my hair comes back to normal I can stop using it. Again, I'm just concerned that this might be one of those products that once you start using it, you can't stop.

I have lost a lot of hair my whole life. The shedding became worse over the last 3 years and has become very thin especially arount my front hair line. I started using Rogaine and found I had bad side effects such as rapid heart rate, bloating and my facial hair started to become thicker! Yuck. Then I found Nioxin at my local hair product supply store. I thought the name sounded very chemical like but the sales lady assured me it was all natural. She made it clear it works well for some and not for others so I though what the hell, I'll give it a go. When I started using the products my hairloss became more excessive which really freaked me out. Then after a month the shedding slowed and I started getting little sprouts of hair coming up all over my scalp! It's now been 2 months and the sprouts are getting longer and my ponytail feels thicker. I will keep using Nioxin system 1 and keep you all posted...

I love Nioxin. I used it for about 4 months last year and stopped thinking I was happy with the results. I noticed that I wasn't having any new hair growth anymore (baby hairs on the top of my head) and started another round. After only a couple of weeks, I am noticing new hair growth. I also believe it thickens the hair I already have - just my opinion... I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!

I am 23 years old and loosing my hair on the top of my head. It doesnt appear to be hereditary, both my mom and dads side of the family have healthy hair. I started using NIOXIN about 4 months ago and saw minimal results. When I went to Beauty Brands for a Refill they told me not to use any other hair products in conjunction with NIOXIN. I quit using my hair gel and within a few weeks I noticed baby hairs and some random strands of hair where there was no hair! I dont think this is a miracle product, but it does work (for me at least). I use the Shampoo for one minute, conditioner for 3 minutes or so, and then the spray when I get out the shower.

Okay. Here is the scoop on what I know about Nioxin. I have been using it for approx 8 months. I have a HEADFULL of 3-4" long regrown hair and almost as much at other various stages of length that I would have shed but have not. My shedding (at least a handfull of hair in the shower) stopped almost immediately HOWEVER, my hairdresser told me that some people experience increased shedding for the first two to three weeks.

Another important thing that my hairdresser told me is that Nioxin is only for certain TYPES of hair loss. In my case, he felt that I have a hormonal imbalance on my scalp with increased testosterone. The reason he felt this is that my hair was 1) thin, 2) very fine, 3) naturally oily, and 4) "wispy" around my face (hair growth around the forehead and down the temples was 3" or less long and wispy).

He said that excess testosterone on the scalp will bond with some of the natural oils secreted and create a gummy substance that blocks hair folicles. This prevents proper growth and causes excess shedding. The Nioxin balance the hormone levels and allows healthy hair growth.

Within four to six weeks you could see all kinds of fresh baby hair at any spot where you parted my hair. Right now, it is kind of a pain to always have that "wind blown" look with little hairs sticking out everywhere, but SO WORTH IT. I have enough new growth around my face that it is almost thick enough to pass off as bangs! AMAZING!

I am a 36 y.o. woman who has always had thin hair, but since being diagnosed with hypothyroidism 6 years ago, I have been losing the little hair I have. It's slow, but it's happening, despite my frequent doctor visits and medication. I am looking to restore the hair I have lost. I wanted so badly to believe this stuff would help me save my hair, but it was awful!! It dried out my hair immediately and really irritated my scalp. I had more hair falling out than ever, some from breakage and some from the root, even after only the first day of using it. I kept the faith for almost 2 weeks but could no longer stand seeing my hair everywhere except my head! I don't know why Nioxin didn't work for me, but I ended up returning it to the salon for a full refund. I am so disappointed. :(

I went back to using the shampoo and conditioner I was using before Nioxin and in ONE DAY I noticed a huge difference. No more hands full of hair in the shower, etc. Back to the drawing board for me.

This product has made a dramatic difference to my hair. My hair is longer than it has been in years and it feels healthier. I have thin hair that only get to my shoulders and then starts splitting. It never appears to grow. I have been using Nioxin for chemically treated hair for the last three months and my hair has grown almost three inches. It is that dramatic. You have to stick with and use it every shampoo and you WILL see a difference.

first, i made a personal research nioxin, it does'nt give me any beneficial effects, i think nioxin is suitable only on people who suffer from thinning hair but still have a full head of hair it is not an option on some people suffer from baldness or receding hairline, just read on their site it does'nt make a hair grow, i tried nioxin to stop my hair fall but the first 2 weeks my hair fall went crazy and after 4 months i realized that my goal is to regrow hair and why i use a product that could make my hair fall, it is hard for me to grow back all the hair that was lost and the worst thing is you must use nioxin for a long period of time, that costs a lot of money after i stop using my hair fall stops and the best thing that happened to me is my hair came back to its pre treatment stage overall waste of my money, nioxin makes my hair shiny and full body just an effect of other shampoo's and conditioner like pantene but much cheaper if i want to have a great head of hair i just go to salon have a relax or rebond i dont need any healthy scalp environment and wait for a long period of time to achieve what i want if i could get the result in an instant on salons, this was based only on my experience

Though Nioxin does leave your hair feeling robust, fuller, all those great things--it does not cause regrowth. None of the ingredients contained within are clinically proven to induce hairgrowth (unless Xandrox), even the skyhigh-expensive Follicle Booster had nought but a placebo effect on my hair, after using the cleanser, scalp treatment, conditioner, and booster for over a year. If you're fine with an expensive product that promises significant hair regrowth, but instead just leaves your hair feeling soft and full (without long-term effects), then go ahead and use it. If you're looking for results (eliminated bald spot/hairline recession), go with Xandrox. I swear, I am not affiliated with Dr Lee; I'm simply a highly satisfied customer.

Oh my! I can't even begin to tell you what Nioxin has done for my hair. I am 24 now, but I started bleaching my hair at 16 and began wearing hair extensions at 19 for the hot blonde with long hair look. Well after years of abuse I decided to stop bleaching my hair, take out my hair extensions and purchased my first bottle of Nioxin (Brown bottle, moisturizing for chem treated hair) This was a year ago. My hair has grown 4 inches and is much thicker. The hair extensions pulled out my hair and my scalp was in bad shape, causing my hair to grow very slowly. Now my hair is down my back and is about 50% thicker and my scalp is much better! I no longer wear hair extensions, not even for a special occasion, my hair looks that good. I went back to blonde about 6 months ago with no problems. Many people wait years to bleach their hair again and with Nioxin I had no problem. I don't think that this product works miracles for everyone but it did for me. I don't mind the price, buy the biggest bottle, it's more bang for your buck. I could kiss the person who made this shampoo, you've given me my confidence back, I no longer have to mess with hair extensions, I just blow dry and go. I am now a naturally hot long haired blonde. I highly recommend this product, I will use it for the rest of my life. God Bless and good luck to everyone who has experienced any hair loss or slow growth, I hope you find the product thats right for you.

I've been using Nioxin for 2 years, I didn't use it for thinning hair but for growth(length). My hair is currently past the middle of my back, healthy, and very full. When I read in magazines about the black female stars adding extensions because its almost impossible for ethnic hair to grow that long, I wish I could show them how wrong they are. It will always be number one on my hair care list.

I started using Nioxin for chemically treated hair about 3 months ago and cannot believe the results I have gotten. I actually have hair and I can walk outside with my own hair. I have been wearing wigs for 10 years because of severe hair loss. My hair dresser told me why not start using Nioxin and the next thing you know I am coloring my gray hair and enjoying the freedom I now have. Nioxin is worth every penny and I plan on using it forever. My hair growth is fast and I am so pleased.

I have been using Nioxin for a year now and have noticed a very big improvement in the last 3 months. At first I thought it was a waste of money but I persisted as I couldn't find anything else better. Before using this I had chunks of hair coming out of my head when washing and thinning out very fast. After 3 months the chunks became minimal now almost nothing. I have also noticed a lot of little hair sticking up which I think maybe due to regrowth of the previous hair loss which is annoying because when there's static these stand up, but I feel better knowing that it's just hair regrowth. I definitely recommend this to anyone with thin hairor suffer from hair loss. I will keep using this product for as long as I can see improvement regardless of how much it cost.

My Husband loves the nioxin, it works for him and myself, even tho i dont have thin hair, but my hair is long and in normal condition, i tried the nioxin for normal hair shampoo and the scalp therapy, wow, that conditioner is tingly on my scalp, and to inform you that my thick long hair has been little falling out while i shampoo it with other over the counter products, but when i used this nioxin, not one hair came out of my scalp!! the conditioner scalp therapy may be too tingly and minty on my scalp, but hey it did alleviate the hair falling out problem, i think i will go to the hair care salon at the winward mall here in oahu hawaii, and check out the other lines of this nioxin, something for long heat styled hair!! Honestly speaking, I Love this product, it does work, only problem is the price, talk about EXPENSIVE!!!!! But it does its job!! And it WORKS!!!!!UPDATE ON OCT 24 2005,... I BOUGHT A LARGE BOTTLE OF THE MOISTURIZING SHAMPOO AND THE CONDITIONER OF THE NIOXIN, THIS PRODUCT ALSO IS WONDERFUL!! THE SCALP THERAPY IS LESS TINGLY IN MY SCALP, AND IT MADE MY HAIR FEEL SOFT AND MANAGEABLE, WITH NO HAIR FALLING OUT!! THIS PRODUCT I HIGHLY RECOMMEND, THE NEW NIOXIN MOISTURIZING IS A BROWN COLOR BOTTLE WITH A BLACK CAP OR COPPER COLOR CAP, THEY HAVE TWO FORMULATIONS, ONE FOR NORMAL NON-TREATED HAIR, AND THE OTHER FOR CHEMICALLY TREATED HAIR, I USE THE ONE FOR NORMAL NON-TREATED HAIR, ITS GREAT ALSO FOR HEAT STYLED BLOW DRIED HAIR LIKE MINE!!

I loved Nioxin when I first started using it at the suggestion of a friend studying cosmetology between 6-10 years ago. I had lost a significant amount of hair after a couple of very stressful pregnancies. My hair not only came back in, but it had more natural curl than before. It was great until the first time I had it trimmed. After having three babies close together, my hair is once again falling out bad and becoming increasingly thin. This started back in the spring (Apr/May). The product is becoming very hard to find and much more expensive, so I am now looking for alternatives. I was very happy with it before these three things became a factor.

I've been using Nioxin (cleanser, scalp therapy & treatment) for almost 10 years now. I still have hair, but it's still thinning. However, I feel the ONLY reason I still have the hair I have is due to Nioxin. It creates a healthy scalp, makes you hair look good, and probably prolongs the hair you currently have. But it doesn't work miracles. I've never noticed any re-growth in all the years I've used it. I'm still using it though for the above reasons.

if you have thinning hair, try the follicle booster $49.95 small, $112 large. this will ONLY work if the follicle (root) is still alive, if you have lost hair more than a few years ago, most likely your follicle is dead and it WON'T come back to life.

I've been using Nioxin for more than 2 years now, and my hair has improved in softness. I don't get dandruff anymore, due to the scalp cleansing nature of the Bionutrient cleanser. I have not suffered any additional hair loss over the last 2 years. Haven't noticed any new hair growth. I use both the cleanser and the scalp therapy product. My hair is alsways soft and shiny after treatment. I use it daily. The cost is not really a factor, as I don't have to use much. I have very short hair. Also, the benefits far outweigh the cost. I had been using cheap shampoos before this product, and always had hair buildup. Not any more. The scalp therapy has a conditioner, and it does not leave my hair with any buildup at all. I recommend this product, but I would caution not to expect noticeable results (with the exception of softer and more manageable hair) for at least one year. I still have a receding hairline, but it has not continued to thin since I started using Nioxin. I'm in my early 40s, and have naturally thicker hair than most men my age. Now if Nioxin could only help get rid of the gray.
