 | Ibelieveinamerica (0) 04/22/2008 | The USC county hospital is unfortunately the only haven for many LA residents without insurance, as is sadly the case for many in the United States of America these days. Unfortunately, it is, as are many emergency rooms, courts, and other government buildings, over-run by illegal immigrants, and working folks will find out the hard way that if you are sick and have no insurance, you'd better pray, because these illegals are overwhelming what otherwise might be an efficiant system, and God MIGHT save you, but USC probably won't get to you in time. Also, if you weren't sick before, after sitting in the ER with all these carriers of god-knows-what...you probably will be, after being forced to wait an average of 6 hours. I had to go there because I had no insurance and developed some strange lung problem after living in LA...by the time they actually made me an appointment (2 1/2 months) and I got to see a doctor, I was left with permanent lung damage and my life is pretty much worthless. And I have a 10 year old child to take care of. Don't go here unless you have no choice.
