A doctor at the ER prescribed prozac saying I was depressed, but 3 days after taking this med. I had horrible side effects I was vomiting and had diaherra so bad that I lost 9lbs overnight, I felt so bad I could not even move so I layed in bed almost constantly except to go to the restroom. I was in so much pain from stomache cramps that I went back to the ER and was ordered never to touch Prozac again and I most certainly will not. My advice is to stay away I have had to many family members to have bad reactions to this Med.

Prozac has given me my life back! Im 21 years old and have had horrible anxiety to the point where I would turn red and freak out talking in class and even talking to my family. I also have mild depression and had tried lexapro and cymbalta before prozac. None of them have worked like prozac. The only side effect I had at the beginning was drowsiness and a loss of appetite but that wore off within a week. I didn't think anything could really help as much as prozac has. I know it gets a bad rep but everyone is different and I would recommend it to anyone!

i was once prescibed this med b4 i got on paxil an this medican made me feel so werid when i started it i couldn't stay on it.

Life is GOOD. Except I have no sex drive and someone has to remind me of everything from looking both ways before I cross the street to what month we are in. But I'm happy, damn it. Just a little too checked out... But beats the alternative.

Compared to Paxil, I liked Prozac (generic - Fluxotine) better. The withdrawal were not as bad as Paxil. My moodswings are few to none. The sex drive part is better than Paxil. But the sex drive is still a little low.

Pros: You;'ll lose weight and feel proud of the way you now assert yourself and stand up to those assholes at work and other objectionable folks. Cons: You might assert yourself out of a job and lose friends with your aggressive behavior.

Makes you feel great but the side effects out weigh the benefits. The MAY CAUSE SEXUAL SIDE EFFECT should not be a side effect but a direct effect. This drug causes loss of libido and causes permenant damage espeically to males. Be aware it may ruin your life!!!

Way too many side-affects, but works okay for PMS. Nothing else has been prescribed, so don't have anything to compare it to.

Way too many side effects and no relief for me.
