Not impressed. Brought in a watch to the Altamonte, FL location for bracelet sizing and the salesperson insisted on grilling me about where I'd purchased it ("used, from a private seller online." "ooh, risky. no warranty for you!") and what I'd paid for it ("oh wow, that's just about what they sell for new isn't it?"). I realize this purchase didn't add anything to the salesman's bottom line, but I just wanted a simple service performed by a competent professional. To top it off, he ended up installing my half link in an odd location (between two full links) instead of all the way at the end, by the clasp. Plenty of dealers out there and I won't be back for my next purchase.

Email to Mayors an Omega

I was the happy owner of a Omega Seamaster Professional. on 26 Dec. 2006 the crown of my watch broke and I took the watch to the store that sell it to me (MAYORS / authorized dealer in the US). The watch was sent to OMEGA for repair (warranty) with instructions to repair and polish and after 3 month of waiting it was return to me on 16 March 2007. The watch was repair but not polish. I went to my house and try to set the correct time on my watch and the crown broke again (or was never fix). I went back to the store and returned. They promise to have my watch fix and polish in 30 days and after many calls I'm still waiting for my watch. This is unacceptable and a disrespect to me as a client that after almost seven month of waiting nobody can give me a straight answer when I ask how long is going to take to get my watch back. From my point of view Omega and Mayors had provide a very poor job and costumer service. I'm a veteran from the US Navy and I have the benefit of buying from the military store many other watches at very cheap prices and I choose to pay more for an Omega in Mayors for the reputation and the warranty. That was a big mistake. I'm convince that I waste my money and my time with OMEGA and MAYORS and I have better service from my $35 Timex. I read in this web site the way Omega service the watches for repairs and I really believe it is a lie based on my experience. I always dream of buying an Omega and I can give you my word that I will sell my Omega as soon as I get it and buy a real watch, not a headache. My watch has spend more time in the warranty than in my hands.

Left my Movado watch with Mayor's in Broward Mall to be shipped to Movado for an estimate on maintenance and repairs. I was charged $25 for shipping and insurance. My neighbor left his Omega watch with Mayor's at the same time to be sent to Omega for an estimate on maintenance and repair and was also charged $25 for his shipping and insurance. 5 weeks later !!!, we were contacted by Mayor's. I was given an extremely high estimate for my work and my neighbor was told that his watch could not be repaired because the watch was too old and they don't make the parts anymore. After researching this, I found that Mayor's had not sent either watch to Movado or Omega but had sent them to a repair shop in Dearborn Michigan where they send a lot of their work. Yes, we were charged $50 shipping and insurance to send the watches to the exact same location and probably in the same package! I have since found a Movado authorized service center locally that charges $131 less than the price from the Michigan shop. My neighbor questions the explanation he was given from the Michigan shop because the Omega website states that they repair 35,000 watches annually with 26% of them being between 15-40 yrs. old. Had his watch been sent to Omega as he had requested and been told that it would, maybe the outcome would have been different. If my Movado had been sent to the factory as I had been told, maybe I would have gotten a fair estimate to begin with. I would not recommend using Mayor's Jewelers for watch repair or maintenance.

Poor customer service and when I called the corporate office in Sunrise,Florida about my purchase of bridal gifts and spoke to the woman at the that manages the bridal category, she was very rude indeed and unprofessional in every way possible. Mayors Jewelers is way over priced to begin with because their over head is obviously sky high.I will never shop at Mayors Jewelers again!
