This is okay for callers who infrequently call long distance. An alternative that works on the same principle is 10-10-297.

Avoid MCI like the plague, I spent almost $1300.00 because of MCI and AT&T fighting over my line, both disconnected me put a block on my line, then started billing me, I ended up getting a cellphone, which MCI then hijacked then shut off and im still getting monthly billing by both AT&T and MCI for a cellphone which was shut off a yr agoavoid MCI like the plague.....

Ah yes, 20 minutes for under a buck. Of course, if you get an answering machine, you still have to pay a buck, even though you didn't get to talk to the person. A grand scheme that people unfortunately fall for.

I live in Canada so I don't think 10-10-220 service is available here. However we do have similiar services 10-10 something just not 220. I read all of your comments and I wonder if anyone care to provide more information on how suck they are? I use our 10-10 something here and so far the billing is all correct and phone quality is much better than the cheapest phone cards (which would allow the consumer to talk 60 minutes for $1 Canadian). Regarding to the comment on having to pay $1 when hit the answering machine, to avoid it you just need to dial the number with other means first (such as the LD service already comes with your telephone provider) to see if the other party is available to chat with you. I always do this when I need to make calls to my relatives & friends.

I don't see what the problem is. $1.00 to leave a message. $1.00 to talk for five minutes and then have to hang up. That is really only $0.20 a minute. I think that is pretty decent... for the early 1980's.

Subsidiary of Worldcom, the company that just recently had the biggest bankruptcy in the history of the United States, and has cheated investors out of money. Unfortunately, the government doesnt really seem to care about that. It also has the absolutely dumbest ads, and the service is laden with extra fees. Dont try it

I recommend reading PBeavr's review of 10-10-220. His review is totally accurate ! How can anyone in their right mind believe such nonsense? Especially in the year 2003? Come on !

AVOID! Marketed by MCI and loaded with hidden fees and catches. For that matter, avoid MCI like the Ebola virus but I get into that more on the MCI page.

anything associated with MCI should be avoided. Had a 2 year running battle with MCI to get them to stop billing me for long distance service after I had switched to another provider.
