A big Deal (Terrorism always is) A young Man was taken from his Family, his buddy was Injured. Though these men were Soldiers, there was no way they Could have Forseen being shot at Base by a Whack -job Fundamentalist. I see here in RIA a lot of people comparing this Event to Tillars death. In the Real world, I have not heard of anybody speak of Either of these deaths and the News that I have heard spoke of Tillar once and This Twice. I find this telling, unless it happens to a Celebrity, or 100+ People, the News media does not seem to care a Whole lot. I hope the Murderers of both Men are brought to Justice.

I'm not as quick as others to ascribe acts like this, Tiller's murder, the Holocaust Museum shootings etc., as domestic terrorism. The lone or twinned nutcase theory has equal validity. While extremist language of any stripe may serve to inflame the unbalanced, it is in my opinion indulging in over-extrapolation to casually describe any or all such incidents as terrorism, which implies an organized campaign. This is not to say that such incidents may not be terrorism (after all, they were certainly terrorizing to the victims, their families, and the witnesses) but I think one should be careful of throwing words like this around too easily.

I mention this incident in my review where I list right-wing extremist violence from the last six weeks. This sad incident was a terrifying example of terrorism caused by religious extremism. Though the victims were soldiers, they were not knowingly on a battlefield.I think it's worth mentioning the victims names: Pvt. William Long, who was killed, and Pvt. Quinton Ezeagwula, who was wounded.

A case of domestic terrorism, admitted to by the only suspect, but it generates less interest than the Tiller murder. I'm not shocked. The taking of an innocent life is heinous, in every case. Ideology should not determine your level of outrage. Where are all the liberals so quick to label Dr. Tiller's murder as domestic terrorism, but here is one that IS, and nobody seems to care? Just me and numbah. How very telling. How very hypocritical. How un-liberal of you all. Rest in peace, Soldier, and may your family be comforted for their loss of one so young and with so much to live for.
