Im not a huge fan but I like most of her hits. One of them is a song that does'nt get enough credit. Jessie! Jessie rules! "I'll always bring fresh flowers for you." "Oh, Jessie."

So very talented and sexy, I just love her lyrics, from You're So Vain to The Right Thing to Do to You are the Love of My Life to what has become my very favorite - "Let the River Run," which she wrote for Working Girl and resurfaced in Little Black Book. As did Carly, who made a cameo appearance. Super class.

"You're So Vain" is a fine tune, and so is "Nobody Does It Better," but the rest of her hits get on my nerves. Decent voice.

She has a beautiful voice and wrote deeply-thoughtful, often hauntingly lovely, songs that stayed with you long after you heard them. Can you name anyone out there today who can match such an accomplishment?

A very clever songwriter, always with a little hitch in each song (like Mick Jagger whispering the words to You're So Vain in the background, or Let's Close Now. . . in The Right Thing To Do her prettiest song. I hope she is defeating/has defeated breast cancer, and that she continues to perform occasionally.

Carly Simon was a phenomenally talented singer and songwriter who just happened to come from an incredibly wealthy background. It's not as if her rich parents pulled some strings to get her a career, she fully earned every record deal herself. Back when confessional singer-songwriters were very popular, she was one of the very best. Also, The Spy Who Loved Me is the greatest James Bond theme and one of the sexiest songs of all time.

One of the greatest female artists. You're So Vain will always be a song that everyone can sing along to; with Mick Jagger on back-up vocals.

"You belong to me" is one of my all time favs.

The female Mick Jagger. The lower lip sticks out and she's not pretty, but she has an amazing voice. However, I only really like a couple of her songs ("You're So Vain", "That's the Way I've Always Heard it Should Be" are my favorites.) She just isn't quite as good as Bonnie Tyler, but show me a female artist who is.

I was sitting at Taco Bell, and suddenly I hear, Carly singing You're So Vain on the radio. I see myself dancing with my taco, and pouring cheese sauce down my pants, and I start dancing with the fat cashier there, and we start singing like Donny and Marie.

I personally love Carly's music. Her album "Carly" is especially good. The song, "The way I've always heard it should be" is like my all time favorite. I grew up on her music, and ir she could back off trying to be so sexy all the time, she'd be all right!

I have a great, or at least amusing, Carly Simon story. Way back in the mid 80's, I was at Veterans Stadium watching the Phillies play the Mets. I had pretty good seats, down on the first base line, and Carly Simon happened to be in the box seats in front of me. So there was this drunk guy next to me, who is heckling the crap out of Mets first baseman Keith Hernandez as only a Philly fan could - at the time Hernandez was rumored to have a cocaine problem, so the heckler was saying things like "Hey Ump, watch out! Watch out! Hernandez is trying to snort the first base line!" If I remember correctly, Carly Simon was going out with Keith Hernandez at the time, and took offense to the heckler. She stood up in her box seat, turned around, and told the heckler that he was being "offensive." Well, that took place during the third or fourth inning, and to make a long story short, for innings 4-9 I had to listen to this drunk guy bellowing "You're So Vain" at Carly Simon at the top of his lungs. Definitely one of the more amusing Phillies / Mets games that I have attended...
