My favorite Spencer Tracy movie was "Bad Day at Black Rock". Check it out it is an intense movie.

Tracy was a great American actor from the 30's to the late 60's- his gallery of works is foreboding; Boys Town, Captains Courageous, and I laughed like crazy at him in Stanley Kramer's madcap 'Its a Mad Mad Mad World'- Watched him the other night in his final film when he was very sick and near death in 'Guess Who's Coming to Dinner'.

A very solid and convincing actor, very natural. Good sense of comedy. A real gruff "man's man" who was a sensitive and feeling human being beneath it all. His only problem was the fact that the studios had him playing second banana to Gable too much.

He had that look about him that said, "hey, I'm the man and I'm the star of the show" and he did it with grace.

He was a terrific actor. I have heard that he was considered "an actors actor" He has done a lot of great roles. I loved him in Captains Courageous, Boys Town, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, Adam's Rib. He has played so may different roles and was convincing in each.

A "natural" actor, Spencer Tracy's performances have given enormous pleasure to countless movie buffs across the world.

A regular attachment to Katherine Hepburn. Unbelievable as an 'actor', believable as a salted meat product.

One of the best actors of the 20th Century.

I can't believe Spencer Tracy isn't somewhere at the top of this list. Not only was he one of THE greatest actors of the last century, but he also inspired so many others in his craft. His range went easily from drama to light comedy all of which he did with the subtle touch of an unpretentious genius. If you've never seen any of his films, do not continue to live in ignorance - go to imdb.com, get a complete list of his films and head for your video store immediately!
