They are truly the magazine of Automotive Enthuasists, but the style of the magazine is confusing itself, a lot of their ratings are based on points, MANY of the points are subjective completely.

Points such as "Gotta Have Factor" which equals an astonishing 20 points, while something "Rear Seats" is only equal to 5 points. They seem to be flaunting how bias they may be to certain cars such as the Pontiac GTO. While I don't have a problem to this, I can see how others find it annoying.

Motor Trend is by far the best car magazine. They may not choose a certain niche in the automotive world (like motorsports, new cars, classic, technical) but cover it all. You will never left in the dark by reading this magazine, and its entertaining and captivating to read! Their comparisons are logical (though the winner isn't always, its original and never absurd). I, too, miss C. Van Tune, but MT has continued to evolve.

I subscribed to this magazine for a year and it was very informative. I find myself missing the test drive comparos that kept me updated on the newest cars now that my subscription has run out. Now I have subscribed to NOPI Street Performance Compact and have been very happy with it as well, but it only covers race and show modified cars. Now I miss my monthly dose of new car info. Great for the info-a-holic but bad for someone who just wants to look at the pictures and not learn anything.

Best car mag out there, but I sometimes think that they are too easy on the Big 3 (conspiracy). I miss the old editor C. Van Tune, he was good.
