I think this was Stanley Kramers' only comedy and he did a pretty good job. At least half the movie was in the can by the time the actors needed to be there due to the mind-boggling amount of stunts involved. The main actors did a fine job with a pretty weak story line and there are so many comedy cameos it would be hard to count them all. (Many of them totally pointless, but every comic wanted to be it the picture) The movie seems overly long today on home video but back in the day in a theater with Cinerama (three 35mm films spliced together) it was amazing. The intermission helped also. All the stunts were well done and the flying sequences were at the ragged edge for the time. Add one half star if viewed in Cinerama. The sound effects were quite a cut above most movies of the time also. All the cars, trucks, and planes sounded like what they were. Not cheap cuts from a studio sound library.

It had a large cast of stars but a mediocre plot. Some great slapstick scenes liven the movie.

One of Stanley Kramer's lesser films- which nonetheless is very funny at times. Ethel Merman steals the show- but everyone is really funny. Too long- filmed originally in Cinerama. Great cast-

This is a 3 hour plus joyride that is both fun and funny. Each actor involved brings their own brand of timeless humor to their charactor, culminating in an American comedy classic.

Classic movie with histories best comedians, what more could you want. Sid Caeser is amazing in the film, right along with Mickey Rooney and Phil Silvers. It's funny the first time you watch it, and the laughter never stops. No matter how many times you watch it, it will always make you laugh.

This is a fairly entertaining movie, with more stars than you can shake a stick at. I think the best scenes were the ones where Jonathan Winters destroys the gas station, and when they finally find what they are looking for: the big W. I'm not gonna tell what that is.

No matter how many times you watch it, you will never stop laughing. The all star cast is great and the plot is so unbelievable that you just keep coming back for more. The characters have many weak, pathetic attempts at finding the money. Some scenes in the film will never die, and whenever you need a good laugh I can guarentee that you will always remember this film.

When funny was truly funny. Spencer Tracy is the closest thing to a straight man in this wild comedic romp which will have you counting cameo appearances by the great clowns of Hollywood.

Should be seen as a history lesson for younger viewers about the great comediens of yesteryear. Even Buster Keaton and the Three Stooges show up along with Berle, Winters, Faulk, Hackett, Merman, Ceaser, Rooney, and tons more with the great Spencer Tracy as the straight man.
