So far, so good! I have 40-50 lbs to lose. I love to cook and I have tried Weight Watchers many times in the past. Maybe this is just the right time in my life to try Jenny because I wanted something simple and easy to follow to jumpstart a good weight loss. I signed up for a 6 week trial which was basically free since I had ordered a sample 3 day pack of the food ahead of time to try it out. It came with an offer for a 6 week trial ($39 value--basically the same as the 3 day sampler kit). I am in week 2 now and I find the food much better than Lean Cuisine or WW frozen food. The sodium content is much lower and most of it is high fiber and protein. Granted, it is not my own homecooked meal, but for the short term, I need this structure. I lost 3.8 lbs on my first weigh in and followed it pretty well except for a night out with a couple glasses of wine and a small dessert. I am also in my 50's and weight loss is tricky at best. There is no way I would lose at the rate I ... Read more

AWFUL!!!!!!! I asked if I could sign up for ONE week of food and the on-line counselor said "YES"...but she signed me up for a MONTH and said that I could just cancel at any time, but I found out they were sending me TWO weeks of food initially so I was in it for $200!!! I also wanted to get the armband that measures "metabolism"....Well you have to join a certain "program" that costs over $400 NOT including the food for that stupid, cheap armband!!! I tried to call back RIGHT after I signed up to ask a few questions...COMPUTER WAS DOWN TWICE.....The next day..CUSTOMER SERVICE CLOSED....then I waited on HOLD and was switched ALL OVER the place for a HALF HOUR!!! I FINALLY JUST SAID TO CANCEL MY WHOLE ORDER!!!! It is an AWFUL program with hidden costs and they just read the description of the program "like a script"....It was weird...I would ask a question..and EVERY TIME I asked a question...the counselor would say.."That is a good question.." " WHAT?? It was all so fake..DON'T WAST... Read more

My experience with Jenny Craig has been wonderful. I have been consistent in losing weight week after week. The food is amazing...chicken fajitas, turkey buger, fettuccine, YUM! My consultant is really great. We meet once a week, and she likes to check in with me between visits. I couldn't do this without her!! I am so excited to be back to my pre-pregnancy weight and I love how I feel. I recommend Jenny to everyone!!!

I can offer little by way of a review of the Jenny Craig diet. I was never actually on it. My Jenny Craig consultant took my money and, instead of giving my Jenny Craig food, she gave me store-bought food instead and pocketed the difference. This kind of employee skimming, where grocery food is substituted for Jenny Craig food, happens all the time. It is a well-known problem within the system that has been tolerated by head office for many years. The problem is the result of many factors, not the least of which being that Jenny Craig hires as its consultants non-professionals lacking any nutritional expertise and then trains them in manipulative, hard-sell techniques meant for use in exploiting consumers on behalf of the company. They then pay these same employees little more than minimum wage and a minuscule commission on sales, heavily incentivising them to steal from and defraud their customers. My own experience has blown the lid off what may prove to be a huge corporate scandal... Read more

Jenny Craig is horrible! Do NOT spend the money on this program. Many of the reviewers are correct in stating that they "bait and switch" you, offer little advice, and herd you like cattle in and out the door. I can speak from experience that this program is utterly devastating to your bank account. Yes, I lost weight, but it was way too expensive. Okay...so I could be a skinny b**ch living under a bridge. Great!? Also...let's face it people, anyone could tell you that you have lost or gained weight by looking at a scale and anyone can give you a frozen boxed dinner from a freezer (simply ask one of the Wal-Mart employees to hand you a lean cuisine from the freezer and they will do it for free) and there you go, you just got the same treatment as one of JC's "distinguished" and "nutrition educated" counselors. Please! I agree with one of the other reviewers on this site that JC employees are actually posting all the "great" reviews and not real live consumers. I spent many ti... Read more

i think it is absolutely obscene when i have to watch fat, air-headed hasbeens like Valerie Bertinelli bragging about how they were so overweight and spent x amount of money on MORE food just to lose weight, when there are people all over America who are starving to death in your depressed economy... why doesn't she just send half her food budget to somebody who needs it to stay alive? If Jenny Craig et all had ANY sense of civic responsibility, they would be recommending this course of action to all the tubs of lard out there who can't figure out how to stop stuffing their yaks. Try LIVING on $400 a month.. you will soon look like a human being again AND you won't be embarassing yourself on international TV!

4 stars I lost ten pounds my first week!! I love Jenny Craig! It's the best program I've ever been on. Nutrisystems food is pretty gross so I was so pleasantly surprised to find that the makers of their food are nestle (stouffers, lean cuisine). It's real food too so it's satisfying. The only issue I had with the diet was I was hungry at lunch. But I moved breakfast later, closer to lunch time so I'm satisfied. I like that it's a lifestyle program, not a diet program. They teach you HOW to eat not just what to eat. I learned a new healthy relationship with food is a mental process that they help you with. Phew! All that said it is costly but my health is worth it and as much money as I spend on stupid stuff, ya this is worth it. Try it!

Hello all, I'm not sure how many guys are out there, but i thought i would give a guys perspective. Ive been too jc 10 times now since 1997 I rejoined agian about 4 weeks ago, so far i'm down 27pounds. on the 2300cal diet, Ive got all the support i need within the center and the food is great, compared too thoes burgers and poutines i used to stuff myself with. I just wanted to say one thing, the last ten times iv'e attempted any diet, i didn't want it bad enough so i always failed, i would have to say the hardest part is getting over your addiction to food and sugar. this time around im ready. I've enjoyed every aspect. I strongly beleave you can succeed at any diet if your heart mind and soul burns for it. Jc has gave me that stepping stone that i needed. but really it was all up to me.

I wanted to lose 10 pounds and was willing to spend the money to lose about 2 pounds a week. The consultants were not very supportive and most were overweight themselves. My counselor was very overweight. They were not very knowledgeable and would also keep my waiting every time I was there for my 15 minute "consultation". They seemed very disinterested in my progress and became pissy at times; it was obvious there were there for the money and commission from the clients and not for real support. I was only losing 1 to .5 pounds a week, and this is too little for that amount of money. It was very convenient for me, as I am extremely busy at this time in my life and I was looking for something with prepared food. Nutrisystem's food is disgusting and I found this food palatable for what it was. I quit after my fifth week and had only lost 5 pounds. It did motivate me on my own to continue with weight watchers, which was very successful for me 6 years ago and whose food is health... Read more

I only want to drop about 20-30 lbs. and JC has been the best for me. I was surprised by how good the food is AND I actually get to eat way more than I would on my own. Plus I am saving a fortune of money since I always ate out every day....$130 a week for 7 days of meals is cheap to me. I'm eating foods I always loved but used to stay away from..their fettucine is awesome. The breakfasts are divine. The snacks are delicious. I feel full (for the first time ever) and I REALLY love the menu. Pizza! Love it...NEVER would have it on my own....The center was warm and friendly..My advisor is a doll....showed me her before & after pics when I asked....NO pressure from her at all...I decided everything on my own & told her to save the "spiel"....Even the director was a doll..Very suppotive and positive people...they made me feel great....I don't have to fret about what I can & can't eat...this is perfect for me...I'm really happy :) Hope anyone who joins feels great too :) I don't cook by the... I have been on the diet for 8 weeks. The food is as least as good as any other frozen food out there, and very easy to plan around the rest of the family - I just make them what I'm having (for example, lasagne when I have lasagne, pizza when I have pizza, etc). I also make them the same vegetables and salads that I have with my meal, and don't feel left out at all. I have averaged 2 lbs per week since starting, and am only about 4 lbs from my goal. I find that most people I meet at the center that are complaining, don't follow the diet as prescribed. One told me she doesn't understand why she isn't losing weight since she only "cheats a little bit". People, if you want to lose weight you need to commit to the diet, exercise, and just keep your goal in mind. If losing weight was easy, everyone would be skinny and not need the program. As for cost, I tend to eat fresh foods anyways, and find that this is actually cheaper. It's less than a starbuck coffee or fast food hamburger,... Read more

I've been asking around and have noticed a pattern. Jenny Craig takes WAY too long to refund peoples money. When you place an order it is immediately taken off your debit card or cc, but when you request a refund they take 3 weeks and numerous calls to get it!!!! That's bad business and I will NEVER recommend them as a result of that. Besides, I too could not stomach their food, it was horrible.

You can lose weight on Jenny Craig. But it is lonely and sooo much more difficult for anyone with a hubby or family. You eat your small portion of Jenny's food. And that sucks. I found not being able to fully participate in Family dinners, events etc... a drag. Afterall, Good food, meals together, etc are family life. Parties, barbecues, picnics are hard. I got tired of the isolation from regular meals. I got tired of thinking about , worrying about, and planning Food for the family and then not having any. I did miss regular food right off the bat. JC food is really not nearly as good as advertised, so be ready for that. At least I did not think it was that good. Some of the stuff I simply could not stomach. I Hated the supplement. Kirsty admits she would Fast a couple days a week when she ate real food. That's a clue right there. Jenny Craig is TOO VERY expensive . It's a hit to the family budget for just your meals. Be prepared in the neighborhood of $600 ...and that's ... Read more

The Jenny Craig diet plan is WAY too expensive. Costs about $650 per month. And you have to buy a whole bunch of other food to go along with it in addition to that. My wife got scammed. She signed up for $250 and when we got into a major argument and I had to threaten a divorce, she went back to cancel and they only refunded $79, and had to majorly argue with the counselor with my mother in law to get out of a sticky contract. AWFUL!!

I have been doing Jenny Craig exactly one week today and I have to say I am quite suprised by the negative comments regarding the food. I was a vegetarian for years and am quite the picky eater. The quality of the meat was a major concern of mine as that is what I am most picky about. With the exeption of maybe 2 menu items I am soooooo impressed with how good the food is. With regard to the cost, that was also a concern of mine but I made the decision to put losing weight and my overall health at the top of my financhial priority list (something I have neglected for far too long). If I were to calculate all of the costs of dinning out plus Trips to the Dr. and wages lost from taking off of work due to compromising my immune system with garbage, it would far exceed the cost of doing Jenny Craig. This may not work for everyone but for me it certainly seems like the answer. I am an actress and although I love what I do I commute long distances for rehearsals and shows, have a lot of l... I've been on Jenny Craig for 3 months today and I have lost 40.2 pounds. I enjoy the meals and the variety of the food. I eat better now than when I was buying fast food all the time! I really enjoy the lunches. I'm amused by the people that say they are still hungry on the program. Well, of course you are! You're not eating the same amount you are used to. You are eating the appropriate portion size. I like the 'volumetrics' part of the program where they show you how to increase the size of your measl with fruits and veggies. This program works, IF you work it. Someone mentioned that the only way you can lose weight on Jenny Craig is if you stick 100% to the program. Again, I have to smile at that. To keep my sanity, I allow myself one "off program" meal a week. It's usually lunch or dinner and it's always the day of my weigh in. I weigh in on Saturday mornings. I've been doing this since week one and with over 40 pounds down....I seem to be doing something right! If I didn't ... Read more

I have waited to see if customer service would ever call to address what I call ignorance. I belonged to Jenny Craig and have dished out hundreds of dollars. I did not have a lot to lose but because of unforseen circumstances it was taking me quite a while to lose. One day my husband picked up my food. He knows nothing really as far as the program. I gave him the check and he was greeted with the fact I had to pay 10.00 more dollars to extend my program. Not knowing what to do he called I was in a rush did not have my contract with me and said I would check into it yet they still DID NOT let him have the 100.00 worth of food. I am astonished that a big company dealing with one indiviual was more concerned about the 10.00 than the client. They had no problem in the past handing me over 100's of dollars worth of food, overcharging me one time, as well as giving me outdated food another. My gas had to go back and get new food not theirs. It was okay for that and it is not like they are ar... Read more

Recently, the lemon cake and double chocolate cake were changed. My question is why? The lemon cake was my favorate desert, and i loved the glob of frosting on top of the chocolate cake. The frosting would sometimes stick to the top of the package, and I would use my finger to scrape it off and spread it on the cake, and what was left on my finger I would lick. The new cakes don't come close to the old ones, and I no longer chose them from the menu. Please bring back the old cakes. Sincerely, Richard

I am sooooo glad to find you guys who are also on the JC diet. I find the food completely vile & the cost a rip-off. The 'chicken' in the chargrilled chicken is infact only 21% chicken - the other 79% is soya & additives. & I thought they are supposed to advocate a healthy diet? As a person who has eaten wholemeal bread, rice & pasta for years, it's amazing to have to eat the white stuff. Particularly when they tell you to eat wholemeal. And they also tell you not to eat crumbed fish. So what is in their fish dishes? You've got it ... crumbed fish! I'm sure you've noticed that the food on the packaging seems to bear no resemblance to that you serve onto your plate. I have lost weight but realise that with smaller portions & actually eating inbetween meals (not starving myself for hours) this will happen. So it's 'adios' to that over-priced & disgusting JC food, 'hello' nutritious food for me!

After eating through the holidays from Thanksgiving to Easter I am now back to my all time high. I'm now 50 and loosing weight is not as easy as it use to be. Having said that, Jenny really makes it easy. I'm doing it with my wife that makes it really easy. When you're eating their food its seems like you're eating all day .. 3 fruits a day, breakfast, lunch and dinner and snacks in between. I'm never hungry. After the 1st week where all you think about is what I need to eat next becomes second nature by the following week. Our problem is with our lifestyle, we like to eat out. The good thing about Jenny is that it teaches you portion control. Side notes to other reviews - My advisor was not pushy at all .. In fact she suggested the 20 for 20 deal. - Yes the food makes you crazy gassy ... Gotta take the good with the bad ;-) - 1st week I lost 6 pounds then 2 pounds on the 2nd (guys loose it faster) - No I'm not exercising .. but I should be - Cost wise ... the cost is about $ 100... I went to Jenny Craig as I had done it before years ago, for a few weeks at a time when life was busy and I wanted to not think about my diet for a short time. This time, I have gained a lot of weight due to quitting smoking and some other issues. Being pretty broke at the moment, I wanted to do the 20 lbs for $20 that is being advertised. The horrible, pushy, bitchy consultant I dealt with was so pushy about joining the program (for over $400) that she was worse than any used car salesman. I am in my 40s and a tough broad, and I was emphatiic with her that there was no way I was going to do it. When I finally said that I would get up and walk out if she didn't just sell me the food and the $20 program, she huffily gave in, and was so rude I wanted to slap her. It makes me laugh in the commercials when they talk about how great their consultants are. They are uneducated sales people, and that is that. All that being said, I don't mind the food.

Okay so when I started this program I lost weight and if you did stick to it and never ever ate any thing else but the jenny craig than you'll lose weight which was a problem for me. I was getting tired of the same food week after week and the cost is mind blowing expensive. And if you ate like 3 crackers or a bag of chips you would gain like 1 lb. I am not kidding. I decided screw it I can't take the food anymore. Oh and around the time my period came I would pig out like no other! and gain like 2 or 3 lbs. I gained all the weight i lost which was 8;bs no biggie but anyway I joined weight watchers and I work out and when my period comes around I don't have horrid cravings just normal ones. You can eat whatever you want and learn about calories. I mean Jenny Craig does work but you must be really strict and really in love with their food cause trust me it will getting boring. but the desserts were good and tasty.

I've been on Jenny for eight weeks, and have lost 18.2lbs! I'm LOVING the food, and it's helped my exponentially with portion control. I've tried diets before this, and nothing's worked for me. I know myself, and where I failed in those diets; I'm not saying that any of those diets are wrong, or bad, or don't help people, because I'm sure they do. Jenny's just what's right for me. It's easier to resist popcorn at the movies, when you have your own bag with you in your purse, or a piece of cake at the restaurant, when you know you have a chocolate cake with delicious frosting, waiting for you at home. It helps me manage my cravings for sure, because I can order what I want, and have my week all planned out for me, at the beginning of the week, so that meal planning is a no brainer. Obviously, I'm not going to be on this program forever. My Consultant said that from the beginning. They don't want you back. Had a bad experience with JC but decided to try again because I actually liked some of the food. Bad move. The girl that signed me up was great but from there it was not good. My food came THAWED (no evidence of dry ice, it had all melted I guess) (was told by my counselor, as long as it's cool to the touch it's okay to eat!). Was told a woman counselor would call, a man called instead (30 minutes later than they said he would call - I had rushed home to be there in time for the call). Asked for a woman, she was supposed to call the next day at 12:45, she called at 1:50! I did not purchase the breakfast food (I can eat a bowl of cheerios for a lot less cost), counselor did not like this and basically told me since I wasn't following the plan that I wouldn't be called weekly (even though I paid for the full plan). I did eat the fajita meal (that was thawed and refrozen) - woke up late that night not feeling so well - visited the bathroom several times- so tossed the food. I paid $... Read more

This diet is a complete fraud and scam and does nothing but take your money! It starts out very inexpensive to join and u have to pay for the horrible food...then u lose weight if you just eat nothing but their prepackaged disgusting food! After one month...the fees start adding up and it's very expensive and you keep buying the food. The consultants are all fake and do not know much about nutrition. I started losing weight, then I got sick... After a month and a half of this diet..I developed a heart arythmia....which I never had in my entire life. I tried it for three days before I couldn't stomach the food any longer. I also found it difficult to cook for my family while I ate boxed meals. I love cooking and preparing food, and if you do, you will not be able to stay on Jenny Craig! I wouldn't feed my children and husband TV dinners for a week, why would I feed them to myself??? Furthermore, they talked me into buying all this very expensive pre-packaged food that is non-refundable! Anyway, besides always being hungry and walking 2-4 miles a day, I did manage to lose 1.5 lbs in 3 days with Jenny Craig. I believe it to be a huge, huge SCAM!!!!! I have been on the Jenny Craig program since July of 2009. I did manage to lose 15 lbs which makes me very happy. The preplanned meals and home delivery gave me no excuses for not losing the weight. I just didn't have to think about what I was putting in my mouth and the weight came off. However, the maintennance program is lacking in support. My weekly consulting calls have been switched to once a month, and it has become confusing on how to transition to "regular food." So with very little to go on, I decided to read the nutritional facts of each serving to get an idea of what could replace my Jenny food. Boy was I surprised. For example, the Jenny Cuisine White Cheddar Popcorn has 130 calories and 60 of those from fat! I would be better off picking choices from my grocery store that were more nutritionally sound and cheaper. After spending lots of money and learning, I would suggest that anyone considering modifying their eating behavior would benefit from limiting calorie i... Read more

For those of us who read ingredient labels, you must know that Jenny Craig meals are full of partially hydrogenated oils, in other words trans fats. Everyone knows that trans fats are horrible for you because they clog your arteries. There a few meals that do not have these trans fats. I suggest you go over every menu item before you begin the program to determine which meals have these fats and which ones don't. It's very hard for me to believe that JC doesn't provide more healty meals.

I Just started JC five days ago. I'm five feet tall and weigh 117 lbs, so I need to lose 15 lbs. The weigh in was sooo embarrassing! I haven't been exercising much but I did yesterday and will do so agai tomorrow. I feel like I'm not losing anything! I thought I lost one pound, and then found that I gained it back the next day. I am following this diet 100%. I don't know what to do. Maybe I'm impatient, but if I weigh in on Thursday (which will be my one week) and haven't lost anything I will go crazy! And since I paid all this money for the first week, I wouldn't want to necessarily quit after only a week so I can get my money's worth. I need to post somewhere where I can actually get feedbck or advice from someone in my boat. Will this ever work for me? Can anyone give me any advice? As all the staff will tell me is to "stay on the diet-it will work eventually" (of course they would say that!)

I was very excited when I first joined Jenny Craig. I joined Jenny Direct, the at home program, because I am a Mom of two and do not have any time to visit a center. The food was excellent but it was very, very EXPENSIVE. I thought that I could justify the cost if the customer service was great but that was not the case. The first shipment of food was sent to the wrong address and I had to go across town to get it. I got over that and then the second shipment of food arrived 9 days later (5 days before schedule) and I had no room in my freezer. To top it off the shipment was not even complete and more had to be sent. The last straw was today. My third shipment of food was to arrive and I recieved an email that it would not be sent until Friday unless I want to upgrade the shipping to overnight. I am out of "Jenny" food tomorrow. Now I am wondering if I'm even going to be able to tolerate this food. I normally eat healthy fresh unprocessed foods but have gained weight because of medicating my post divorce loneliness with too much good food. I have suffered from depression and have found that carbohydrates and fats make me feel better. So I reintroduced the energy bar yesterday and had bad gas within the hour. Today I had the breakfast scramble, pizza, and pasta carbonara. No energy bar. And so far no gas. I guess I'll just have to try the foods out one at a time. I have succeeded on diets that used your own food but I really wanted the support and counseling of Jenny Craig. I'm wondering if I can do the diet with my own food. I worry about any undisclosed ingredients in the food. I prefer the food philosophy of the fewer the ingredients on the package, the... Read more

I love Jenny Craig! It has given me the healthy structure I need and the food is done for me. My consultant and the program materials have helped me lose 40 of the 100 I need to be healthy again. My only complaint is the company website is not helpful at all. It should be better. Cost wise: my program cost for the year is less than Weight Watchers membership-either online or at meetings by about $80. I still have to buy food, and for me, right now, this is the best option. I have adapted to cooking for my family, and occasionally we eat out, but there are tools to help me do that.

I started JC 8 days ago and am doing great had a head ace first two days, but that has passed, I am doing better then I thought I would. The food is good some I don't care for but most is good, I am having to get use to eating breakfast and snacks, but am very happy.

I had lost a wopping 83lbs and felt great, but the weight slowly began to come back following my vacation. This is a plan for people who go to work and home and that's it. During the first few weeks, I was hungry all the time, but as my stomach shrunk, I felt like I was eating too much - which is something I'd never felt before. The plan is very convenient, (I hate cooking), but it is VERY expensive. After being on it a while, I began to understand proper portion control, which I had no concept of before. I like the fact that you meet with someone on a weekly basis, but the you're in and out - NEXT. I'm now using some of the concepts I've learned, along with some good old fashioned common sense and have begun my journey to a healthier lifestyle/weight.

JENNY CRAIG does not care about their OWN employees. JENNY CRAIG only cares about lining their own pockets. If Jenny Craig does not care about the people who makes their business successful....how do you expect them to care about their customers. All they care about is how much money they can put in their own pockets. JENNY CRAIG cuts their employees' hours in so they do not have to pay for health care. JENNY CRAIG IS A SWEAT SHOP WHO DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ANYONE EXCEPT HOW MUCH MONEY THEY CAN TAKE FROM PEOPLE.

I was going to try Jenny Craig but backed out when I saw the meal list. Here is my take on the program: 1) It is not a good program to teach people *what* to eat. But then, I tend to think the average person has a pretty good sense of what is healthy vs. unhealthy food. If not, you can get this information, for free, from Nutrition.gov. 2) I think the program IS probably good for people who need to learn/relearn portion control, need convenience, and would benefit from having someone call them and help with keeping them on track. (I felt I fell in this category which is why I called) 3) However, the menu items are NOT appropriate for people who already enjoy "good" food (and by that I mean healthy, macrobiotic whole foods, etc) Nor is it appropriate for anyone with Diabetes, PCOS (me), sugar addiction, or any other hormone or insulin resistance related issues. I actually enjoy fruits, nuts, veggies etc, my problem is that "good" foods take a lot of time to prepare and I also have ... Read more

I am a 45 year old female and started to carry a large amount of weight in my stomach and nothing I did seemed to help me lose it. Although I love to cook and entertain I thought I was making healthy choices. So, when I wasn't very successful losing it myself I knew I had to do something. The cost was holding me back but when I figured out one months budget on what I was spending on lunches and dinners before and now the added convenience and a great plan it justified it. The first couple of weeks I actually had a hard time eating all the food. And because I am a cook, I was very worried about the taste. Over all the food is excellent, of course you will find there are some things that you didnt like but the good part is is that there is such a varity you can choose something else. Well I just finished my 4th week on Jenny and I have to say that I am very happy. I have lost 13-LBs and my jeans are getting really big! I still have many more pounds to lose but I am no longer ob... Read more

I have been JC for just 5 days. Had a few little slip-ups for the Jewish Holiday, but all in all going well...Some of the food is tastier than expected, some is not so good...I went with the initially recommended food plan, which has some things I would not normally eat on it. Although I doubt I am losing much this week, I am trying with the weigh-in in mind, which is a motivating factor, and the whole reason "I called Jenny". I needed some outside motivation, and someone to be accountable to. I am a little bit anxious about going on Saturday to weigh in, but that will just have to pass! So far, so good....

I have been on Jenny Craig a couple of times. The first time I did lose 38 pounds, but eventually gained it back. This seems to be a temp solution. Kirstie Alley gained the weight back too you know. The food does taste pretty good, it is a little expensive. However you have to stick to it exactly to lose. Sometimes that is hard if you have social life, and like to go out sometimes, and not eat frozen food every single meal every single day. My problem is that the food makes my system wacky, I get a lot of gas and bad stomach aches. Makes it hard to work out and go to work when you are sick. Has anyone else had these problems?

I have an appointment to tomorrow to see a JC REP. I am excited but nervous about the cost of the program and food. I went one time last year and it was out of my price range. I have been speaking to a consultant for the past two weeks and she seems to be very knowledgable and has said she can help me save some cost with the program. Well I will keep you posted and see if I have decided to join the program or not. The reviews have helped out a lot and hopefully if I do join I will get great results!

After years of Yo-Yo dieting and another failure after a year on Weight Watchers I decided to give this a try. It's only been a week but I lost 5 pounds. I don't expect that rate to continue...2 pounds would be cool. I'm a single guy and tend to eat all evening long mindlessly. Even with WW, I just stopped really controlling portions or calculating points. I like that the Jenny menu tells me what to eat in a day and that most of the food is prepared and portioned. I'm adding a ton of vegetables to stay full but that is encouraged. The Jenny meals taste pretty good and there is a lot of variety. I tend to make the same things over and over and gets sick of them....then I cheat. I hope the one on one sessions will teach me how to transition to real world food. I am certainly ready to do my part. The counselor is a guy about my age that I can understand. I did not click with the gals at WW. I read how many people complain about the price, but I spent way more on fatty lu... Read more

Yesterday was my first day on Jenny Craig, it went surprising well! It was a little hard to stay on track but I did it. I have never been an overweight person but in the last 3 years I have continued to put on weight and have tried everything to get rid of it. My husband and I have planed a trip to Cancun in November for our anniversary and I would love to look good before we leave. My doctor suggested that I try Jenny Craig and so here I am. I am only on my second day but so far so good. I have lost one pound and would like to lose a total of 35lbs before November. I do have to say that working out is a huge part of it, I have been working out consistently for a year and a half and have had somewhat of good success but I still weigh more now then I did after having my 3rd baby who is almost 6yrs old. I will keep you posted on my success. If I can continue to lose 1lb everyday then this program rocks!!! I think it is worth the try if you are serious about dropping those pounds. I ev... Read more

I have just finished my first week on Jenny Craig, and I have to say that I am pretty impressed. I lost 2.5 pounds, but what is surprising to me is how good the food is. I did the pre-planned menu so that I didn't get stuck in a rut too soon, but this week I am choosing my own food. I have tried almost every kind of diet frozen meal from the grocery store and I have to say that these are completely in their own league. You also get things outside of a slab of chicken breast and vegetables, like cheesecake and rising crust pizza. The portion sizes are small, similar to the ones in the store, but you eat frequently enough that it doesn't matter that much. The price IS pretty steep, but I am not buying food, I am buying weight loss. I already know healthy cooking strategies, but this is really giving me a feel for the portions I neeed to be eating. Before spending the money, I thought, "I could just do this myself", but the truth is, I have wanted to lose weight long enough that i... Read more

If paying big bucks for convenience is up your alley, then Jenny Craig is the deal-of-a-lifetime. I became a "Premium" member and was ready to throw in the towel in less than 3 weeks because it was obvious that I wasn't going to want (or need) all of the food that I HAD to buy. But because I didn't call within 3 days of joining (I didn't even get my food within 3 days), I received NO refund ... that's right, I'm out $400!!! The food is decent - MUCH better than Nutrisystem. But the amount of money that it costs (around $500 per month for ONE person) is ridiculous. It's surprising to me that in this current economy, they wouldn't be a little more aware of their costs, but it doesn't appear that their hurting.
