Worst medical experience I've ever had. I went to Dr. Panitch in desperation because of symptomes of exhaustion. I have subtle hypothyroidism and tests revealed, with my regular Doctor, that Thyroid was not the issue. Hypothyroidism was a pre-existing condition, so my insurance wouldn't pay for treatment. Dr. panitch sent me for a load of bloodwork and listed everything under the diagnosis hypothyroidism. Nothing was covered. My adrenals were, I thought, what we were testing. Insurance did'nt cover any of Dr. Panitch's bills either. I soon had to leave my position because of my symptoms. I made payment arrangements with the blood lab and tried to do the same with Dr. Panitch's office. I sent a payment of 20% of the bill and a letter of intent, stating that I would make regular payments, but could not pay in full because of my employment situation. I received a certified letter stating that I the matter had been turned over to a law office for collection and that they had no problem issuing wage garnishments. So I had to put the bill on a credit card. i never was treated for my symptoms in 3 office visits. I never received test results (that I am PAYING for) either. The whole experience seemed like a huge financial drain and disappointment and felt extremely hostile. Worst experience I've ever had!!
