 | Enkidu (37) 02/22/2004 | A marvelous flavor: the leaves can be added to salad straight up, or used in many kinds of cooking. The plant is sacred in Hinduism. I always have some growing because it is sacred in my kitchen.

 | Janey_Lane (0) 03/09/2002 | Pizza, sallads, dressings, pastasauces. Basil is a very brittle but distinct taste. It can really complete whatever it's added to. It has a bit of an acidity to it and shouldn't be overused.
