Having just finsihed a Genetics course, I am in awe of what this man had contributed to the world of science and the degree to which he perfected his concept of inheritance. On a side note, he was well known as an Augustinian monk with a big love of nature. He truly is the father of modern day genetics.

A very brillian man. We would not be where we are today in science if it was not for Mr. Mendel. Truly an important scientist to remember.

Mendel's actually the father of modern day genetics. Through experiences with peas, he managed to discover concepts such as dominance. His theories and discoveries are the basis of our modern genetics.
