04/29/2008 | Black Greek oregano is the real thing. It's in the mint family. Green Mexican 'oregano', sold in supermarkets, is in the verbena family.
Unlike most herbs, dried oregano is better than fresh.

03/12/2002 | In Chile, mothers with babies suffering from cholic have been known to boil a little bit of fresh oregano, like a tea, and when it cools, feed to the baby to lighten the pain.
