A nice area, but it has a close proximity to Cabrini Green.

The Gold Coast is on the Near North Side and is the primo shopping area in Chicago. It is an area of affluence. One area of blight was the Cabrini Green housing project. The lefto social engineers plopped this piece of excrement in the middle of this area. It soon was full of crime and such. Mayor Jane Byrne even moved in and lived in an apartment in the projects to show how official Chicago was cracking down on crime. Hilarious and real entertainment!

Most of Cabrini Green is torn down or being torn town and the area has left this area of crime bog behind it.

The Gold Coast is located north of downtown Chicago. It is known for its great shopping, expensive condos and a sense of modernity in a city full of historic relics. It is a great place to visit if this is the type of area you are interested in that type of neighborhood.

Gold coast is the best, great shopping a few steps to the south, the lakefront beaches to the east, great nightlife to the west, Lincoln park to the north. Could not pick a better place to be!
