We had a parody that was current when I was a kid and that always wrecked this song for me. "We Three Kings of Orient Are, Trying to smoke a rubber cigar! It was loaded and it exploded, and Blew the three kings afar!"

A lovely song, but the three kings (who knows if there were really three, or not?) didn't go to see Jesus at the same time the shepherds did. Jesus was estimated to have been a small boy of about two years old. However, this still could apply to Christmas, because of the gifts they brought to Jesus, and the spirit of giving is very much a part of the holiday season.

Ah the joys of inventing some messed up versions to entertain each other with. :)

I learned a dirty version of this when I was in Grade 5 and I've never been able to get it out of my head when I hear this song.

I've always liked the ones in minor keys and this is no exception. A common mistake is to get loud when it turns to major--it's really effective if you do the opposite.

Catchy tune, but not one of the most popular.

This is another one that I can never seem to remember the words to.
