The assortment of pizzas ready to eat is not large but you can make your own pizza. You can order by phone and they have delivery service.

They have some kinds of pizza ready to eat. Pizzas from the counter are fresh and the thin crust is always crunchy after putting it for 2 minutes in the oven.

It's a convenient place to quickly eat good quality pizza. When I have more time to eat I go to Serranos, which is a block away from Escape from New York but only because the slices are larger!


I have tried different kinds Tomato, Mushrooms and cheese, Sausage and fresh tomato but my favorite is the Potato, Garlic and Pesto one...and it's only $4.

Escape from New York is legit pizza. It's thin crust, and their older locations usually do enough turnover to ensure that there is a fresh slice waiting for you. In terms of NY style pizza, it's not quite as good as Arinell on 16th and Mission, but it's close.

This newest restaurant will compete directly with Serrano's on 21st. Serrano's is probably a little better, but because it's made to order, you have to wait 10 to 15 minutes.

I will likely be hitting the new Escape from New York pizza quite a bit for immediate pizza satisfaction.
