I decided to go with AVL based out of Santa Clara CA to move me from Orlando FL to San Jose CA. Andy, a salesperson from AVL Moving and Storage, called me back and after our discussion, sent me an estimate for 2000lbs and one for 3000lbs (I thought I'd be somewhere between the two). Her rates for the move were great, compared to the other big namers (United, Atlas) I've spoken with so far. He was also able to send me a truck asap, since I called him on July 6th 08 and was leaving Orlando by July 14th. Andy was great, very friendly and accommodating. I felt very comfortable speaking with him unlike some of these folks I've spoken with recently. He passed me over to Steve, an operations manager, who was also great and was very professional. So, my stuff made it to my new house in San Jose today, on time and undamaged! A few boxes/containers had some corners/sides bent in a bit, but I boxed my fragile stuff smartly with lots of blankets inside the boxes or containers. This moving company was great.They were all very professional, took great care of all my stuff (wrapped, padded, etc), and worked fast. I highly recommend AVL Moving and Storage out of Santa Clara, CA. Well worth every penny. 5-stars. 10 outta 10, etc etc....

I went online and requested a quote from several companies and received about 30 calls and a hundred emails. I researched most of them and narrowed my search down to 3 companies and upon further research decided to utilize AVL moving systems after a long conversation with the sales rep. He was very helpful and gave me an honest quote. He also informed me of hidden fees that I could incur which I was not told by most of the other companies. They picked me up on time weighed the truck and gave me the weight tickets,inventoried everything. They told me 4-8 days and then the driver called me and said it would actually be 9 which actually worked out better for us. The price was dead on and everyone was awesome and courteous. I wasn't sure what to expect from a mover considering all the negative reviews I read all over the internet. I found a few companies with mostly positive reviews and out of the few I chose avl moving systems due to all the reviews which was for me the deciding factor. They quoted me $3700 for my move from Florida to California and gave me a 2 day spread for my pick-up. They called me a day before the pick-up to verify my address and told me to expect the driver between 9 and 2. The driver showed up at 11:30 and loaded the truck and informed me that several pieces of glass (a tv unit, tabletop and mirror) required packing and said "you can do it while we pack the rest of the truck or I can do it and normally we charge $25.00 per piece but we can do it for $50.00" deal. The guys were professional and fast and my delivery on the other end was flawless. Great job to all involved. Highly recommended company.

They set me up with the single best move I have made to date. Fair price, wonderful service and a really quick delivery. I would surely use them again.I see most people here write novels, not me. Movers were great friendly and professional, all of my calls were answered and my delivery was on time without any damages to my items. I would use this AVL moving company again and will refer others to them. I hope this helps
