The Lakers just won a championship and their main concern should be bringing back the pieces of the puzzle that got them there in the first place. So it made sense for them to sell their first round pick for cash, rather than bringing in a guaranteed contract for a rookie this season. This rating might decrease if they don't bring back Odom, Arriza, or a comparable veteran player, but I don't think LA will have that problem. Elonu from Texas A&M might not make the team, but if he does it would be to offer some defensive presence alone. This is not a flashy draft at all, but the Lakers have the benefit of not having to do much if anything with the team they currently have.
