Hasheem Thabeet will probably be Memphis' starting center, but I don't see him putting up huge numbers. He is incredibly mobile for a guy who is 7-3, but he still doesn't have the finesse or the strength to be an offensive force. Thabeet will provide an immediate impact on how opponents attack the basket, but I don't see him holding his own against top of the heap big men. I think the other two selections were good picks, especially getting Sam Young in the 2nd round. Young had a great career at Pittsburgh, and just seemed to have a knack for making big plays. I think he can be a solid player off of the bench. Overall this looks like a good draft, but it will take a lot to see any improvement in Memphis.
