They picked up two of my favorite players in the draft in Rubio and Flynn, and by doing so, screwed it up, likely driving Rubio to play in Europe. As exciting as Rubio is (and he is going to be special), Flynn is everything that he isn't - strong and athletic, with an NBA ready body. If I were an 18 year old Rubio, the prospect of competing with Flynn for minutes would make me want to stay in Spain too.

The T-Wolves draft really looks like a mess right now. By trading Mike Miller and Randy Foye to Washington, they decided to completely redo their backcourt. Flynn and Rubio both look like good picks on their own, but selecting two point guards so high seems stupid, especially with Rubio's European situation. Rubio seems like a confident guy who probably isn't excited about having to share the point guard duties with another young guy. He has the option of staying in Spain and not paying an expensive buyout with his current team. I don't see him playing with Minnesota unless Flynn is traded. Most likely it will be Rubio to move on. Flynn had a great year at Syracuse and I can see him being a good NBA point. Wayne Ellington was another good college player, although he wasn't always consistent at UNC. He can be great when he gets hot though. I don't see anything coming from the 2nd rounder from the Netherlands. So this draft might be incomplete to grade if a trade of one of their picks ends up happening. If Rubio decides to stay in Europe rather than play in Minnesota, this could be a huge failure.
