This is one of my usual brands now. Picked up a pack a month ago 'cause I'd never seen them before and I was in the mood for a menthol, and they were $1 off a pack. And I must say, these are fantastic. There's a good hint of menthol, not overpowering but certainly not transparent in the draw. A very rich taste.. but at the same time, it almost has this "stale" overtone to it.. but not in a bad way. Does that make sense? Just buy a pack, I can't explain it without using jibberish. You'll love them.

First off, I am a HUUUUUUGE Fan of Marlboro Blend No. 27's (The MOST flavor with Just the right Strength!) ... ... Sooooooo, Is it just a coincidence that 27 x's 2 = 54? I am thinkin not; I think this is actually a Marb. #27 with Menthol. I will echo the other review earlier that said it's almost "creamy" in its menthol taste, but in a really good "fresh" way. Camel did well with the Crush menthol taste being different than "normal" menthol, because the little bead holds menthol in "tincture" form, and delivers more of a "wintergreen" FRESH menthol (because the tobacco is not soaked/treated with menthol). However, I can't smoke Camels ... because I think they are All to dang "DRY". :( I am not a huge "Menthol Fanatic" ... but I truly think this is the Best one out there. Someone mentioned a cross between Marlboro Medium and Marlboro menthols. I would agree, to the point that I like Blend No. 27's better than Mediums ... and this one "Hit the Mark" being a Blend No. 27 with a ... Read more

At first they tasted kind of weird like smoking grass, but I got used to them and they are pretty good. A slight hint of menthol, but not overpowering or sickeningly sweet like smooths.

they taste good. i personally like smooths better but these were good because i got a really good deal on them. and a word to the people who say that these cigarettes break apart close to the filter, i did not have that problem at all. i think if you pack 100's too much this would probably happen. so don't pack them and you wont have this problem :-)

Blah... they just taste bad. No other way to describe it. Bought a pack to try, smoked a half-dozen, gave the rest of the pack away to my buddy. He normally smokes Marlboro Smooths, and he wasn't wild about the taste of these either. These are nowhere near as good as Newports. Still, I'm going to stop fooling around with menthol cigarettes and just stick to my beloved Luckies.

I work in retail and I happened to notice them on the last pack of the special $3 off promotional deal. I bought a pack of 100's and the next day when my other pack ran out, I tried one. It's been a couple years since I had a menthol (I've been smoking for roughly 4 years and have been mostly on full-flavor Marbs and Jacks when available) and I wasn't too wild about them then, but these were actually pretty good. A good strong flavor that left a relatively smooth aftertaste. A comment above mentioned that they break apart close to the filter...I did not have a problem with this other than the normal happenings of every 100 length cigarette towards the end of the box: pressure against the length. My last one was broken, but that was it. My only problem was that after smoking them, the only thing I could smell was akin to Vicks Vapor-rub. It wasn't bad, mind you....but it was pretty strong and wasn't what I was expecting. I'm waiting to pull out the next promo-pack of them so I c... Read more

I normally smoke Camel Lights. Marlboro Blend 54 was smooth, not too strong with the menthol, and very strong. They were excellent IMHO.

I bought 8 packs of New Marlboro Blend N0. 54. One pack is no different than the other. The cigaretts break in half near the filter. They are a complete waste of money. Back to Basics for me. I have been smoking for over 50 years, and never encountered this problem.

Best product ever produced by marlboro. I am not usally a fan of menthol. However it has a good methol to tobacco taste ratio ( balance). Not to mention a rich flavor absent from most menthols and even most of marlboros other products. Hell, they even bet the 27's ( which I gave a 3/5).

I picked these up because they reminded me of the Japanese 'Black Menthol's'. They have a nice menthol flavor, that is refreshing. I enjoyed the smoke and have nothing to complain about. These are worth a try at the least.

I love menthol ciggs, anything menthol i can get my hands on but menthol brand of choice definitley has to be Marlboro and Newport. When my friend showed me that Merlboro had a new blend of Menthol ciggs out called 54's i bought a pack and at 2.95 you really can't beat that. Honestly the taste of it i think is a perfect cross between the Marlboro Menthol Mild and a Marlboro Medium. The taste is not a strong menthol taste like a Newport but it isn't to bland and not too minty like the Marlboro Smooth's. Definitely recomend this cigarette to menthol and non menthol smokers alike, especiually for being so cheap now, lets buy these ciggs untill their no longer so cheap!

i smoke about a pack a day and have been doing so for almost 7 years. i love variety when it comes to tobacco, so naturally when i saw blend no. 54 i picked up a pack. when i started smoking them though, i noticed my lungs hurts excruciatingly both during and between drags. i dont know what they put in it but they need to take it out. i'm not saying that my opinion is that of a "wimp", but a concerned individual. i am strong believer in smokers rights and oppose all anti smoking legislation, but when it hurts, somethings wrong. thank you for your time.

I didnt even know these were coming out and was curious when i saw them at the gas station so i decided to buy a pack. I normally smoke filters but like to get a pack of menthol every now and then for the refreshing switch in flavor. I really like marlboro menthol but strongly dislike the smooths because of the "peppermint" taste i get when i smoke them gets old pretty fast (normally like half the way through the pack) when i first smoked the blend no 54 it sort of reminded me of the "wintergreen" minty taste like in camel wide menthol but also had a good minty menthol taste like in newports. it balanced out pretty good in my opinion. ive only smoked a few from the pack i just bough but i can really see this as the menthol cigerette i would normally buy when i do decide to smoke menthol. only down side so far is how fast the cigerette burns which is pretty normal for a marlboro anyways so it is nothing i am not used to. Oh ya and also there is a slight harsh aftertaste that im not to f... Read more

its another menthol cigarette. that's all. i smoke a pack a day of any of the varieties of camel or marlboro menthol's . whatever's on sale usually. and i can probably smoke these over and over if the price stays the same. not too minty, not too bland. i give it 4 of 5 and recommend it to regular or irregular menthol smoker.

I am about a half pack a day variety smoker, meaning I switch off from menthol to regular cigarettes and go from different brands all the time... I work at a gas station which sells them, so I know which are fresh and which are stale, and which are FSC... I hate Fire Safe Cigarettes and think that they are dumb, but when we first got in the new Marlboro Menthol Blend no. 54, I bought the first pack. As I lit the first cigarette with high expectations, I was met with a very different kind of menthol than what i've had before. It has thick, mostly rich rich smoke with a flavor that mostly surpasses the nasty FSC chemical. I didn't much like the first drag, and put the cigarette out halfway because I had a customer. The taste certainly grows on you, but kind of has a tarry aftertaste which can only be expected from the FSC chemical I mentioned... I will miss the Marlboro smooth's 100's, which nobody buys but me and my co-worker, the last of the non FSC that we carry at my work. Even t... Read more

not bad for the price. i paid about 2 dollars less for these than reds. dont usually do menthols but they arent bad. just enough menthol to soothe your throat but it doesnt overwhelm the tobacco flavor. give em a shot

Great Cigarette the first 5 or 6 times you smoke it...after a while (for me) the taste got extremely old, overbearing menthol taste at times, by far better quality than the regular Marlboro Menthols though...I think Ill stick to blend 54 100s...best Menthol cigarette out there if you like Menthols.
