He and Shirley Temple were a great dance team, especially in the staircase dance in "The Little Colonel" and the street dance in "The Littlest Rebel".

By all accounts, one of the greats of his era, someone whom Kelly, Astaire and Cagney (hardly slouches themselves) claimed for inspiration. Long gone now, and with a dance style that doesn't fit the modern taste, but a true giant nonetheless
