Ray Bolger 3

Let me start by saying that I have the utmost respect, admiration, appreciation and envy of dancers. My ratings for various dancers are in relation to how they compare to Fred Astaire, most specifically, Hollywood dancers. Dancers of various other genres will be rated accordingly. That being said, Ray was a good dancer and will always be remembered for his role in The Wizard of Oz. He's gangly, flexible...seemingly boneless...and it is nearly impossible to watch in other roles without thinking of The Scarecrow. Compared to other dancers, his range is kind of narrow. Never the less, he mades hard work look really easy.
