what everyone is saying is so true. when i went to take my senior photos, he told me i looked of an asian decent(nothings at all is wrong with that) and then told me i should order some chinese food. i am an young african american girl and i still felt offended. he also told me to shut up when i was talking to my friend when she was about to take the picture! and his assistant jack... i think he needs to live his life because he works there every day, sometimes all day! i think he's afraid of alvin, you can kind of tell in his voice, or maybe he just naturally talks like that. horrible service!

He is an absolutely horrible individual. A total scumbag! He can't come through with his promises. He is never on time. He is rude beyond belief and actually called me a bitch and then chuckled when I asked "what did you say to me?" while over the phone. He should definitely not be in photography or customer service in any way shape of form. My experience was absolutely terrible!

He is dishonest, cannot meet deadlines, does not produce the photos as he says he would. Beware. He is also extremely unprofessional in his dealings with clients.

Alvin Gates has absolutely the worst customer service skills ever. My brother had to go there for senior pictures and it took several hours just to get him started when we had an appointment. They were supposed to be casual pictures with no tie, but for the cap and gown Alvin made him wear the most awful tie that didn't even match! 6 months later and we still had not heard about the pictures. I called him to pick up the pictures and after discussing his need to go to Costco and to teach a night class, as well as appointments I had, we decided on one date and time. When I called it took him over 20 minutes just to find the order. When I went to pick up the order I was told it'd be 10-15 minutes. 40 minutes later I am told that he is just printing the pictures out. Apparantly he waits until the customer gets there to print the pictures out. I waited 1 1/2 hours for pictures that should have already been printed. There was no apology, no excuse but that he didn't think I was going to come because I didn't sound sure about the date. He spoke over me as I was asking him questions and telling him that I set one date and time and that the order should have been ready. It was absolutely ridiculous and I WILL NEVER EVER go there again. I am also recommending that my brother's high school promote another fotography studio. Had I been told when I got there that it would be an hour wait I would not have been so upset. And then he had the nerve to not apologize, but to blame me!! I repeat that I will NEVER EVER go there again!!!!

he has no pricing sheets and it seems he quotes prices and charges as and when he feels. his prices are ridiculous and are never the same from one conversation to another. ask for a contract and beware. you shall be scammed. there are better out there. plus his customer service skills are terrible.
