Romney v. Palin (2012 GOP Nominee) 2

I personally can't stand either one of these two. Maybe it could be that I am turning into a party voter or it could be the fact I don't want a morman or someone who believes in creationism as president.

Neither romney or palin are good choices.... let's see, a flip-flopping governor who dropped out of the 2008 races, or a governor who quit on her state....

i'll go for greenspon, the repub from montana, a regular person, not a politician. if the repub party even halfway backs him, the grifters in congress will be trated to someone who won't put up with ANY of their crap.... think reagan reincarnated.... (not really, but dam close).

I don't have anything against Palin or Romney. I just don't think that they would be good candidates for the GOP.

Off the subject, I'd like to see a third party finally get a shot at things. Not saying that they'd be any better, but they've never been given a fair chance to prove themselves.

I think the Republicans have an unidentified luxury of choice here. If they think Obama will carry the advantage of incumbancy to an easy second term, then in Palin they have the ideal lame duck to put up in 2012. If they feel that there is an opportunity to unseat the President by nominating a well spoken and viable candidate who represents a definative ideolgical difference, then Romney is their man.

I'm thinking that perhaps Palin has decided to drop out of political life. I imagine it might have had something to do with the scrutiny that her family life was receiving. If that's her prerogative, then more power to her. At least she was willing to sacrifice power for family--certainly an admirable act. There still might be a scandal brewing in the background, who knows, it's politics after all.

As for Romney, I still believe he's the odd's on favorite to win the nomination, although he will likely receive some competition from other candidates. A few others are in the hunt, but Romney already has a campaign organization up from 2008, a national following, and credentials, all of which will make him a formidable primary candidate.

It's still early though.

2012 GOP primaries: The mainstream media will determine who is the biggest threat to Obama, then watch what happens soon after that.

I saw them both up here in New Hampshire. She is a lot better looking.

Conventional wisdom points to Romney as the better candidate, but - although she looks a lot like Dan Quayle theses days - she could turn out to be a W.

Sarah ALL THE WAY! Our next President. If you had to bet on anybody, who else could it be? Forget this first black president thing. We're gonna have ourselves the first "hottie" President. What's that again about the final days?

It's just frickin' amazing how American politics works.

One more Tina Fey skit and Palin's finished.

If one is a blinkered and partisan Democrat, its Palin for her ability to fill the Democrat coffers, motivate Democrats to vote, and generally diminish the GOP brand.

If one is a thinking Republican, or frankly anyone who places a value on intelligence, reason and political savvy, its Romney in a walk.

In retrospect- which, somehow always seems to make things easier- Romney was and is the better national candidate anyway. Now that Palin has shot her foot...well....let's go with Romney.

I can't say I'm excited about either, but with Palin's recent mysterious resignation, I've got to say Romney.
