I'm a fisherman, despite the fact that I have not been out in a while. I prefer freshwater, a stream, river or lake, with a shady spot and a good friend or two with to share the cold beer and sandwiches while we're waiting for a bite. The excitement of catching the big one while fishing with some buddies brings out the kid in me.If I'm camping and fishing, all the better. Waking up in the morning to some pan fried trout, some taters and eggs and man, I'm are good to go. You can't beat it. My father was a golfer. He loved the sport. I spent a lot of time with him on the links when I was young, maybe if he were alive I might have caught the bug but as it is, it never interested me. If I have the time to go golfing, I would rather go fishing.

I prefer golf. I get hired a lot to exterminate vermin from golf courses. Not many ground squirrels live in lakes and streams.

Ugh. . .Golf would be more intriguing as a sport if, say, there were randomly placed landmines or alligators on the loose to add some seriously-needed excitement to his game.Fishing just tries my patience. . .I'm not very good at it although I go out once a year. I'd have to take fishing- but this is like choosing sex between Kathy Bates and Roseanne.

Fishing is clearly better than Golf. I can't stand to golf. All you do is wack a little white ball with a stick. The only thing that changes is the type of stick you're using. At least fishing is actually using your head a little bit, instead of mindlessly wacking a ball with a stick. So to all the ball wackers out there...... have fun.

The little cuties following me around in their beer carts give golf the edge.I must have put a couple of em through college already.

Hmmmph. The only way I'm likely to catch fish is if I tossed a grenade in the water. And as for golf, I'll channel Babe Ruth for a moment and say that when I hit a ball I want someone else to chase it.

I haven't been fishing in a few years, but I'd still go fishing over playing golf any day.

I have always loved fishing. I prefer fresh water, but there is nothing more relaxing than finding a secluded spot on the beach and playing around in the surf.Conversely....golf? Sorry guys, but I have never gotten the appeal of whacking a little white ball with a club so you can go chase it down. Always seemed to me a way to try to impress.
