Given the other inhabitants of this list, pretty hard to give him more than 1 star. I can't stand the juvenile nitwit, but he's hardly in the same class as some of the serial killers on this list.

Real ghetto rat. Just doesn't know how to behave. Less than 48 hours after destroying his team's season and effectively ending Reggie Miller's last chance at a ring, he uses a national interview appearance (about the Detroit brawl) to promote his recent rap album. After the Pacers stand by him during his entire suspension and welcome him back at training camp, he starts to complain a few weeks into the season about his lack of offensive touches and says he'd like to be traded. Essentially, he is the Terrell Owens of the NBA.

He Who would toss a chair at a fan does not deserve to walk onto a court again. Same goes for the fan who provoked him into it. Two jerks that should end up cellmates.

Amen, HelloKittyKat! I saw that interview with Matt, and I was so damned disgusted. BTW, I haven't heard a single song of his on the radio. Don't tell me that his little publicity stunt didn't help him to sell a million records?

About as bad as the knucklehead that threw the cup. Why do these idiots always find eachother?

I live in Detroit and it brought our city shame the way the players and a few fans acted. Ron Artest had no business going into the stands and attacking people who didn't even throw stuff at him. I'm just glad that no Detroit residents were invovled in the brawl.

Only would have been more scummy if he has completely instigated the fight. True, fans should not throw anything into the playing area. But, sports athletes do realize what they are getting into when they agree to participate in professional sports--including the rare dumb fan. Artest deserved the season-long suspension, although I personally believed he should be banned from any further NBA play. Thankfully, such events are rare in professional sports--and completely absent in the Olympic Games.

I think a 3 on this list is deserving for Ron Artest. Now on a crazy scale, I think he would be a 5, because the man has almost no self control. Did it ever occur to him, that the person he attacked in Detroit, wasn't even the person who threw the beer at him in the first place. I'm just happy that he won't be getting paid by the NBA for the rest of the year.
