4th Of July v. Christmas 2

Personally I've hated christmas since my father died. The fourth of july is just a bunch of nationalist crap. However do enjoy the fireworks and the beer I brought to the BBQ ( I didn't care too much for typical BBQ brew).

4th Of July v. Christmas 5

We don't have 4th of July celebrations here in England, can't imagine why... it is after all the anniversary of when got rid of... oops. o_O

I mean no, we don't celebrate it here, so for me Christmas wins easily. It's always good to watch a few festive films around that time too!

Christmas, for sure. Everybody acts like me for a good eight weeks. A world full of jimtavernas.

Look there's Jim giving that guy the finger for taking his parking spot!

No wait, he's over there keying someone's car!

Can't be, he's shoving some old lady to the ground to be the first in line at Wal Mart's 110% off sale!

Bullshit! That's him molesting some girl at a Christmas Party!

Ah, the joys of Christmas. Trademarked by jimtaverna.

And a Merry Fuck You, to you too!

4th Of July v. Christmas 5

I like the 4th of July. Honestly, I haven't been back home in five Christmases. Christmas was never that great of a holiday for me anyhow. There is so much buildup too, especially when you see the decorations out in September.

4th Of July v. Christmas 3

I like them both. The law takes a holiday on both days and I can move around a little more openly.

The Pagan-Roman holiday wins easily. . .

The 4th is simply great. . .but a holiday centered around family, presents, giving, and a hilarious incorrect-dating of the birth of a fictional prophet is 5 stars any time for me.

The 4th loses points for having rednecks die due to errors in using fireworks after killing a case of Coors Light. . .(or is that 'gain')

Christlessmas also scores points for having better kids specials on TV. Where's the clay-mation half-hour holiday specials of Washington killing those $%@ British soldiers for children?

For me this isn't even a discussion. Christmas in a walk.

The fact that I'm Canadian and July 4th is for the most part, just another day, has a lot to do with that.

Celebrating the independence of our country, drinking beer and playing with fireworks is great, but the 4th of July has nothing on Christmas. Christmas is probably my favorite holiday, although I'd probably say Easter is more important.
