I think that the local Denny's serves these on Thanksgiving.

No thanks.

Not much of a yam or sweet potato eater, but I'll eat it very occasionally. Like on Thanksgiving.

Sweet potatoes & yams add some variety to the Table, but I'll only give Sweet Potatoes 5 stars if they're in PIE form!

Essential for Thankgiving, regular potatoes won't cut it.

My new favorite Thanksgiving item. I think it's an acquired taste, but once it gets you...you're a convert for life.

If you are what you eat, than I yam what I yam.

They are best roasted in the skin and then cut open as a regular potato. Add the brown sugar and butter and yum!

If only for the color.

Ugh. Probably the only traditional Thanksgiving food I won't eat.
kamylienne 11/25/2004
Eh, not a big fan of the yams. I'll stick with the regular potatoes. They're a little too sweet for my taste.

Even the canned ones are really good. I don't like marshmallow topping, however.

I know, I know, I have weird taste but sweet potatoes are repulsive! Yuck!! It kills me when people substitute sweet potatoes for mashed potatoes.
bibliophile 11/24/2004
I love sweet potato casserole or pie. Only I like the ones without the marshmallow topping.

Sweet Potatoe pie is by far the best thing to eat on thanksgiving.
